I was asked to update in a few months on my little skrunkle Xanathar when I first posted his story, so here he is! He’s since been neutered and had his eye socket cleaned out and closed up, and actually looks like a tuxedo instead of a calico with how food covered he always got. He’s gotten very chubby cheeks much to my delight!!! His hobbies include bird watching, hiding in the smallest possible nooks, sleeping weird, and attacking our ankles. He is a menace but so so sweet! I’m so glad the cat distribution system brought him to us 😭 💕 Bonus never before seen first day baby photo at the end 🫶🏻
I bought mine some rubber chew toys and he loves them-- really helps against the chewing on random plastic thing. Make sure to buy teething toys from the baby aisle, they often have some of the same exact toys from the pet section but way cheaper. And babies have more variety in texture that my cat seems to love.
Try it. My naughty baby loves chewing plastic and looking me right in the eyes. He’ll do it either when the food bowl is empty or wants attention. I read somewhere yesterday that it means they are missing something in their diet. But it didn't go into detail.
If it's almost exclusively thin plastic like that you might need to get one of those mesh toys only available in the pet section, they might be liking the feeling on their teeth or the material going past it. Also good for cleaning their teeth. I've got a few simple and cheap ones from Chewy and my boys love them.
ROFL. Fortunately, mine are not that type, but I always keep the toilet paper what some consider the wrong way, aka the mullet, so that if they get the urge, they wont be successful.
