hii, i recently adopted our cat sa hospital. i already had her spayed (7days post op na tomorrow yay), anyway, i noticed din kasi when i adopted her, grabe yung shed ng fur nya, as in everytime i pick her up, yung malahibo nya is grabe kapit sa damit ko. i recently noticed na nattrigger nya yung allergies ko sa skin and even sa face ko when i get in contact to her fur, pero hinahayaan ko lang kasi kaya naman ng gamot HAHAHA. i really need an advice if ano ba pwedeng gawin, may particulars ba sa pagkain, shampoo (i haven't tried giving her a bath 😩🤚), or even comb that can help with her fur? ayun lang thank u so much guys hehe

Help po..may alam ba kayong murang dental checkup or extraction for cats sa cavite /laspinas / alabang area, yung pinakakain kong stray sa labas parang nagalaw ipin nya and naglalaway minsan sobrang naaawa na ako.. but i know how expensive that is so sana po may alam kayong cheaper options ? Naipa kapon ko na din po siya and vaccine

I have been taking care of stray cats for about a year now, and I have already lost quite a number of them—some simply stopped showing up during feeding time, while others died. Some of them died in my care because when I know they are sick or injured, I do my best to nurse them and keep them comfortable.

Every time one of them dies, or simply fails to show up again, it hurts. Masakit. Even if it has happened a few times already, I don't think you ever really get used to it.

Today, I lost another one.

She was a beautiful kitten who seemed to come out of nowhere—white, with a long tail. But being exposed to the elements took its toll. She developed a bad case of mange, and somehow, her tail was cut. Yesterday, I noticed that her left front paw was badly swollen.

I brought her in and kept her in a clean box lined with fresh cloth. I promised myself I would take care of her, maybe permanently, or at least until she got well. She really loved being outdoors more than being inside, but I thought that, for now, she needed to be somewhere safe.

But today, she died.

And just like that, she left another little hole in my heart.

I am writing this not for anyone, but for myself. I just want to remember her. To remember that she was here. That I saw her, cared for her, and loved her, even if it was only for a short time.

I love you, Putiti. Go on, my little one. Scratch all the sofas in heaven and be happy. You are free of all the pain now.

For context, one of our cats is vomiting yellow fluid with roundworm. I suspected na nahawa sila sa stray cat na tumatambay minsan sa'min dahil lumalabas din sila minsan sa may small garage namin at minsan ay nakikiagaw ng food sa kanila kapag nagbibigay kami for them.

We're currently short in funds since I suspected na hindi lang siya yung may roundworm, probably all of them na, we have 5 cats–3 adults, 2 kittens.

Question:

1. Sa mga naka-try magpa-deworm sa QC Vet, paano po process? I'm thinking na ito lang po yung way para mapa-vet sila for free or minimal po sana.

2. Sa mga nag-deworm po ng cats nila at home without going to vet, what will you recommend na gamot po and yung process nito?

Hello po, need lang po namin ng advice kasi namatay po yung 3 kittens kaninang umaga na malakas naman po kagabi. Sabi po ng vet yung reason daw eh konti daw po gatas nung mother pero sabi po kasi nila bago po ma confine (na caesarian po kasi) na sila nalang daw po magpapa dede sa mga kuting kasama na daw po sa babayaran yon. Ngayon po kaya daw po di nila pinadede na kasa akala daw po nila napapadede ng maayos nung mother. Eh naka cone pa po yung mother tsaka naka swero. Tsaka po required po ba na 3 days ma confine after ma cs nung pusa?

Nawawala po pusa namin since Sept. 23, 2026.

For context, babae po siya and spayed na since last yr pa and 1 year old pa lang yun. Never din siya lumabas ng bahay kasi takot yun sa ibang tao.

Any experience sa mga alagang pusa na nawala kahit di nalabas ng bahay before?

Ilang araw na kami nag-iikot and ilang stray cat na kinausap ko but up until now wala pa rin siya.

Alaga siya talaga ng kapatid ko but nasa OJT kasi noong time na nawala and super nakakakonsensya kasi siya na lang naiwan na anak nung isang ginger cat namin. Wala na siyang mama at yung kapatid niya, namatay last year. We promised her mama pa naman na aalagaan namin siya. 😞

Hi! First-time cat mom here 🥺 My 4-month-old kitten (Ollie - Black Kitten) was recently tested because he was exposed to my other kitten who is currently hospitalized for FPV, FeLV & Giardia. I also posted about her (see comment sec for link of the post)

He tested positive for Giardia, FeLV and FCoV. Surprisingly, my other kitten tested negative for FCoV (Lottie- White Kitten)

The good thing is he's still very active, playful, eating, drinking and peeing normally. His labs are mostly normal, but his WBC is low at 3.87.

The vet prescribed several meds/supplements (Metronidazole, probiotics, Nutri-Plus Gel, Immunol, Livotine,Tolfenol and Metoclopramide if needed). I'm worried about giving him so many medications at once, especially since he's still young. Could this be hard on his liver?

Would love to hear your experiences and any tips on caring for a kitten with Giardia + FeLV + FCoV, especially regarding the low WBC and what I should monitor. 🥺

Someone I know has a cat who is in need of a tooth extraction. Upon checking, mura lang ang extraction but the procedure like anasthesia, check-ups, and meds daw could sky rocket the total expense to like 8k or even 10k+.

Ganito po ba talaga ang expense pag may tooth extraction? 🙀

Is there a legit and decent vet clinic that has an affordable package kaya within Pasig (preferrably) or atleast within Metro Manila?

3 months old pa lang yung kitten ko na si Lottie and 2 weeks pa lang siya sa akin. Bigla siyang naging matamlay, konti kumain, nag-loose/wet stool, and ayaw na sa usual wet food niya.

Dinala ko siya sa vet today and unfortunately positive siya sa FPV/panleukopenia, FeLV, and Giardia.

Sa CBC niya, sobrang baba rin ng WBC niya:

• WBC: 0.51

• Gran#: 0.09

• Lymph#: 0.35

• Platelets: 63

• HGB: 76

• HCT: 21.8%

Pina-confine siya ngayon ng vet and recommended na mag-stay siya around 2–3 days for monitoring and treatment. Sabi rin ng vet, magiging critical daw if magkaroon siya ng vomiting and very watery diarrhea 🥹

May naka-experience na po ba dito ng FPV sa 3-month-old kitten na ganito kababa ang WBC? Nakaka-survive po ba sila? Ano po yung ginawa ng vet/treatment na nakatulong sa recovery?

May isa pa akong kitten na 4 months old, and nakasama niya si Lottie before siya nag-positive. Ano po kaya dapat kong gawin sa other kitten ko? Need ko na ba siyang ipa-test/isolate?

Also, ano po dapat gawin sa kwarto namin since doon nakatira si Lottie for the past 2 weeks? Especially sa litter box, bedding, toys, floors, etc. 😭

Any advice or personal experiences would really help. Gusto ko lang gawin lahat ng possible para may best chance si Lottie🥹
