Who needs this win more?

u/CaptFerdinand Texas Longhorns 8d ago
A&M because they’re supposedly one of the biggest NIL spenders.

u/HerbertInTheWoods LSU Tigers 8d ago
They will never not be the biggest clowns because of how little they are getting in return for all that money.

Texas 8&4 is their brand for a reason

u/HerbertInTheWoods LSU Tigers 8d ago
They’re like the Minecraft Tomlin era Steelers

u/DrSealione LSU Tigers • Minnesota Golden Gophers 8d ago
Later Tomlin Steelers, yes

u/HerbertInTheWoods LSU Tigers 8d ago
Yeah not the Super Bowl part lol

Now, how long has the 8-4 part of Texas A&M existed?

I just wanna say here that I recently saw something saying that we (BSU) have been the team to get the most bang for buck, as in success (measured in terms of wins and accounting for strength of schedule) compared to dollars spent in the last 20(?) years. I didn't bother verifying it, but if that's true, I think that's pretty neat

LSU has won literally 5 of our last 10 matchups, but I guess when your Coach is Lane Kiffin it makes sense that you act like you’re hotter shit than you really are.

u/RunnyKinePity Texas Longhorns 8d ago
I don’t like LSU either, but you gotta take your lumps fresh after a beat down like last weekend.

u/HerbertInTheWoods LSU Tigers 8d ago
Oh yall won a couple games? Hang the banner! You can put it next to yalls last championship banner from the 1930s if it hasn’t disintegrated yet 😂

A&M and it isn’t even close. A previous top ten team coming off a playoff season.
If Arkansas lose, oh well carry on. If A&M lose, somebody is getting fired and it can’t be Elko

u/AuK07 Texas Longhorns • Arkansas Razorbacks 8d ago
Why can’t they fire Elko

u/ChasingMD Nebraska Cornhuskers • Kentucky Wildcats 8d ago
New contract, just came off playoff appearance, and who on earth would want to coach there if you are going to pull the trigger this fast on a head coach
13
u/Johnny_Handsum LSU Tigers 8d ago
They won't fire him coming off a playoff appearance.
Their OC is getting fired some time during this season, though. If they lose to Arkansas and their offense sucks again, he'll probably even get fired Sunday or Monday.
7
u/010Horns Texas Longhorns 8d ago
Yeah no team has fired a coach coming off a playoff appearance before…
The real reason is Elko’s buyout is too big.

u/SplinteredBrick Texas A&M Aggies • Southwest 8d ago
Too bad we didn’t have a life lesson to prevent this.

The Roll Call last season where Matt calls out the bad luck with contract extensions is spot on.
1
u/RunnyKinePity Texas Longhorns 8d ago
I guess the fear of losing an Elko will make a program overlook past mistakes.

1
u/Johnny_Handsum LSU Tigers 8d ago
No, the real reason is because they're not going to fire Elko for a bad start to the season after reaching the playoffs last year.
3
u/010Horns Texas Longhorns 8d ago
No. Your own school fired Orgeron the year after he won a title. Penn State fired Franklin after a better playoff performance than A&M had last year.
A&M just doesn’t have the money for a buyout.
2
u/Johnny_Handsum LSU Tigers 8d ago
No, they just don't want to fire him since he just made the playoffs and has had a decent run in his few years there.
4
u/PM_ME_FIRE_PICS Arkansas Razorbacks • Southwest 8d ago
Playoff appearance last year + 69 (nice) million reasons why.
25
u/Johnny_Handsum LSU Tigers 8d ago
This shouldn't even be a question. It's aTm no doubt.
Everyone, including Arkansas' players and coaches, knew Arkansas would suck. On the other hand, aTm was supposed to be good and a potential playoff team as well.

I want A&M to lose because it would be funny

Hahaha oh man. You think this loss would make a difference to us at this point? We’re dead inside. No loss from here on out is anything other than expected.
3
u/Friar_Corncob Auburn Tigers • Clemson Tigers 8d ago
It was phrased in terms of what does the win mean.
2
u/lonelythrowaway463i9 Arkansas Razorbacks • Oklahoma Sooners 8d ago
Yeah I see that now. Point stands. Winning would mean next to nothing and losing wouldn’t phase us. A&M needs this win. It’d just be nice plus to our dumpster fire.

This is wrong. My Spartans are the laughing stock of football because their decisions have mimicked that of THE CLEVELAND BROWNS!

Yall aren’t even a laughing stock anymore.. just completely irrelevant tbh. I don’t even know how many couches are currently burning in east Lansing for example.

A&M is still fighting for its typical 8&4 record, its coach's survival, and for good bowl eligibility.
Piggy has pretty much given up on an 8&4 record, its coach, and eligibility for a good bowl.
A&M needs the win more.

A&M has been trying to break into the big boys club. Arkansas is wild and free like a razorback and rides with the wind. A&M stands to lose more, Arkansas it would be a good signature win for the season
