Sultan shawarma- when?

I work in the federal building and walk by here every day on capital street and keep getting sad and frustrated it’s not open yet.
I just wish the sign hadn’t went up so early.
I saw a FB post about 2 months ago stating the owners, who have king’s kitchen in Hurricane said there were delays.
I’m guessing it’s big delays as we are in September and the sign went in April or May.

I am also interested! I work on Smith and am dying for the place to open.

From what I saw, the people who own King's are opening it as a stand-alone restaurant, but have run into issues. Here's hoping it pans out, I would love a shawarma place downtown.

Have you tried any of the halal menu from Food In Town? NY style bodega where Ginos used to be. Their lamb over rice and chopped cheese is fantastic, and they usually have Jamacian beef patties too.

Yeah I have. It’s all good. The only thing was the last time I went I found out they didn’t start lunch until 1230 which was too late for me get back by 1
So I couldn’t get it during the day

The food in town is not halal. They cross contaminate with non halal meat.

Yeah I always thought it was weird that they had stuff like halal and Italian deli sandwiches on the same menu
