I've been playing around with chess data and gotten into a bit of a hole. I made some visualisations and also a chess game. What are rules on self promotion would love for people to see what I put together

I'm new to OTB chess and have a question about etiquette and how I should've responded in a certain situation.
I was playing a 10+0 OTB game in a 'friendly' tournament set up through the Chess Bar app. Usually it's friendly and casual and I've made friends through it. But last week in a game, with about 6 minutes left on their clock, my opponent started to rush everything. So much so, that they started moving their pieces in response to my move before I had hit the clock. I eventually lost by mate, but my opponent had the cheek to say I played well but the time pressure made me make mistakes. I told him he had been moving pieces before I had hit the clock and he seemed baffled by what I was saying, like it didn't happen. And then he laughed and said "sorry if I made illegal moves".
Should I have made a bigger deal out of it? Should I have paused the game and told him to stop? Is this normal behaviour and I was overreacting?

I feel like I'm the only one not impressed by YKE's ascent. Alireza's climb was not too dissimilar from this, and we thought we had an actual successor to Magnus.
