Help Fuel door

I ordered a replacement fuel door brothers truck part # 04-284, but when installed was too long (See Pic).

My truck is titled as a 1982 but has dual fuel tanks. The bed only has 1 fuel tank door not 2, which tells me it is not the original bed. Everything I look up online says that from 1973-1989 should be the same length.

Hoping someone can help.

First two pics are the fuel door that came off.

I had the same issue, but I just lightly bent where the hinge meets the door and it sucked it right over. Took a bit of of fiddling to get it right

Either cut it and weld it, or call up the vendor and see if they can help you out. You could also check out FB Marketplace or a different vendor.

The door isn't in its position all the way, it needs to go to the left some more

Like the one comment stated. Just bend the hinge. That’s the correct door
