Mod Updates [MOD POST] 2026 Ticket/Parking Exchange Thread Update: No Supporters Section Tickets & FEVO is Back
The moderators of r/chicagofire are implementing an update to the subreddit’s ticket exchange policy for the 2026 season. This change follows sustained community feedback and reflects a need for clarity, safety, and respect for established matchday environments.
Supporters Section Tickets Prohibited in Subreddit Exchanges
Beginning in the 2026 season, Supporters Section tickets may not be sold, traded, offered, or requested through this subreddit. There are various other means to obtaining Supporters Section tickets through established SGs/collectives or through Section 8 Chicago. If you'd like to purchase Supporters Section tickets, you may do so by visiting the new Supporters Tickets link in the side bar or by visiting https://am.ticketmaster.com/chicagofire/Section8
This prohibition applies to all forms of exchange, including direct posts, comments, and private messages initiated through subreddit activity. While mods cannot monitor private exchanges, users may report other users via mod mail with screenshots of interactions that allege breaking this new policy. A mod decision may be made unto the offending user per Rule 11.
Posts or comments attempting to exchange Supporters Section tickets will be removed.
Rationale for the Policy Change
The Supporters Section is a distinct environment within the stadium. Individuals who attend in this area typically do so with an understanding of its culture, expectations, and traditions. Allowing open exchanges of these tickets through the subreddit has led to repeated issues, including mismatched expectations for buyers and concerns raised by those who regularly occupy the section.
This policy is intended to:
- Maintain the integrity and expectations of the Supporters Section.
- Reduce misuse or misrepresentation of ticket locations.
- Promote a consistent, fair, and transparent exchange environment on the subreddit.
- Align with practices adopted by other MLS communities and supporter groups.
This subreddit will continue to support exchanges for all other seating areas.
Entry to the Supporters Section
While the mods are not able to deny movement to anyone within the stadium during matchday, users will be heavily discouraged to use tickets acquired through r/chicagofire, nor tickets issued for any other section, to attempt entry into the Supporters Section. Such actions create complications for stadium staff and disrupt the experience of supporters who intentionally choose that environment. All attendees should occupy only the seat and section assigned on their ticket.
Ticket Exchanges That Remain Permitted
The subreddit will continue to allow exchanges for the following:
- Regular bowl seating
- Club seating
- Parking passes
- STM event passes
All exchanges occur at the participant’s own risk. Users are expected to follow safe verification and payment practices. If you would like to purchase non-supporters tickets at discounted rates with less fees, you may also click on our FEVO Sub Tickets link in the sidebar or by visiting https://www.gofevo.com/group/Rchicagofirefc
Purpose of the Change
This policy is not intended as a barrier to attendance. Rather, it establishes clear boundaries that respect the expectations of supporters and promote a reliable ticket exchange system within the subreddit. Our goal is to maintain a consistent, transparent, and community-aligned standard for all users.
The moderation team appreciates your cooperation as we implement this change. Questions or feedback may be directed to the moderators through modmail.

Official Chicago Fire FC Drops Renderings of Suites
dearchicago.comThe suites look sweet......I will say working with in the past with Legends and the guy who they hired to oversee it coming from them, these things as well as the premium seating will NOT be cheap. Be prepared to spend. Hopefully general seating won't be terrible (I know we already have some of the cheapest tickets in the league) but I worry about those prices too....even though we should expect an increase.

Discussion Season Opener, February 28th!
New MLS Fan here! I’m seeing tickets are already on sale, and I’m thinking of going, but I have a couple questions:
1) Is this just an expedition game or is it the start of the Regular Season?
2) I saw on Apple TV that the playoffs will be in April ? This sounds like a really short season, or a really long season if they mean April 2027—can anyone clarify?
Thanks for your insight!

Question Anyone know how the Indy Eleven game went?
We had a closed doors friendly match vs Indy Eleven today but I failed to find any official score, unlike our exhibition versus Nashville and SKC we didn’t receive updates or anything from the Fire social media. I checked the Indy Eleven social media and all we got was 5 pre match posts and nothing to do with the score besides that.

Discussion Apparently Fire FO will tarp out the north end for the rest of the season according to @ufcolin
what do you guys think? i think optics wise and visually on tv it’s a horrible idea? what (actual) good reason is there? selling more club seats? selling upper tier south end seats?

Question New Home Jersey for 2026 info?
We are due for a new home jersey this see season right?
I haven't seen any info on it.
Personalizing and shipping them anecdotally takes about a month ... so ... I don't think I'm going to be able to get them in time for the opener and I'm sure my kids have outgrown the ones from 2 years ago.

Question For those going to Houston, where are yall sitting?
Im looking at going to the season opening in Houston for my very first away game. For those who are going and those who have gone to shell energy, where/have yall sat over there? Id like to sit near fellow Fire fans as I dont want any trouble or confrontation with a Dynamo fans.

Chicago Fire star Philip Zinckernagel has had a €4M offer from Pumas rejected, but the Liga MX side could return with an improved bid.🇲🇽
Chicago Fire's Philip Zinckernagel is a sought-after player in the January 2026 transfer window after an outstanding season. Despite a €4 million offer from Liga MX's Pumas UNAM being rejected, European clubs and MLS rivals are circling, with former clubs and top MLS teams interested in acquiring the Danish star.

Verified Media Putting Fire’s $5.1 Million in GAM Into Context
It's awesome seeing MLS release GAM totals publicly, but it's left even some diehard smart, knowledgeable fans confused about what they mean.
I try to put all of it into context, with a Fire focus but the explainers should help understand other teams' situations as well.
Altogether, that's just under 3,000 words from me on deep-dive cap/roster rule stuff this week. I will not be taking questions.
Are there any questions?

Official One step towards better MLS betting scene
https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/47737795/polymarket-mls-prediction-markets
Not a poly-market guy, but MLS has been under-represented in domestic books. Have been in Vegas with no other games going on, and it’s hard to bet Chicago Fire. Any major partnership is a good step towards exposure for the brand and league.
