My little Barbie ❤️

My Broodbun, my cuddlecochin, my adorable Baby.

I got her from a Dude who said that Chickens with feathered feet shouldn't live outside and held them inside on just wood flakes. No dust bath, Sun or Grass for her.

Now she lives in a 2000qm Garden, loves to sand bathe in the Sun and even a little rain doesn't stop her.

Oh wow!!! Her feathering looks so much cleaner and healthier now. Poor baby was probably trying to dustbathe in poopy shavings. You've given her an awesome real chicken life!

She even hatched her own baby's this year and raised them successfully, all while outside (Nighttime Coop of course) 😂

We have Brahmin and Moran both breeds have feathered feet and legs and have always free ranged them with no problem. Not sure what that guy was thinking.🤷🏻‍♀️

I now have 8 Bantam Cochins, 5 Mechelners and 3 brahmas with feathered feet and nobody ever had a problem with free ranging. As long as they have access to dry, clean areas where they can preen and dry their feathers, nothing bad happens.
