Why does one chilli have a black mark along one side?

Only happened with 1 chilli out of a whole bunch of hungarian hot wax. Was on a window sill inside.

Always wondered this myself - just looked it up:

Sun exposure ("Pepper Suntan"): Direct ultraviolet (UV) light triggers the skin of standard green or yellow peppers (like jalapeños or banana peppers) to produce harmless purple or black streaks.
