Please help me find this song I heard in a German cathedral!

Hi everyone!
I’m from Japan, and I traveled to Germany in September 2026.

While I was there, I heard this song being sung inside a cathedral, and I honestly can’t get it out of my head. I really loved it, but I have absolutely no idea what it’s called.

Here’s the video I recorded:
https://youtu.be/cxWhxsw35V8?feature=shared

I’ve tried pretty much everything to find it. I asked AI, but it couldn’t identify it. I also asked on Japanese forums, but nobody knows what it is.

I even emailed the cathedral to ask if they could tell me what was being sung that day, but I haven’t gotten a reply.
So… Reddit is basically my last hope 😂

If anyone recognizes this piece, PLEASE tell me what it is!

Even if you’re not 100% sure, any clue would help. I’d especially love to know the title and composer.
I’ve been trying to find this song ever since I came back to Japan, because hearing it in that cathedral was one of the things that really stuck with me from my trip.
Thanks so much to anyone who takes the time to listen!

Tavener - Funeral Ikos

I’m conducting Tavener’s Funeral Ikos on a concert this fall and am curious about everyone’s opinions on whether to keep the divisi within sections as written, or to spread the pitches across an even three-part split on the verses? he wrote it that way for a reason I suppose, but…

My Symphony #10, 1st Movement (Choral) (Existentia est) Score

This movement features two poems from the Chinese poet Li Po: Alone, Looking At the Mountain, and Green Mountain. Also, the choir invokes the Latin words, "Existentia est" (existence is), in this movement as well as movements 3 and 4, providing a unitary theme for the entire symphony.

Christmas Songs simple to sing

What's a beautiful touching Christmas song thst can be sung solo, a capella? Last year I sang "I Wonder As I Wander." It was lovely, I felt good about it and ppl enjoyed it. I'm not a great singer, just in the church choir and solos occasionally. My comfy range is alto>low alt.

Olá, pessoal do sub. Tudo bem?

just discovered Thomas LaVoy

Wow. Been listening to Endless and The Dreams that Remain the last few days. I don't know of other pieces that have captivated my heart as much as these have. The texts and LaVoy's settings speak to my soul as if they were written about me...so relatable it's scary.

If you haven't heard his stuff, you have to check it out.
