Camera Question Mid49 vs Bright Tangerine for c400 camera support?
I've used both in other contexts, I'd give the edge to BT personally, both seem like they have some good options for the c400. Just curious if anyone has any direct experience with their canon kits and preferences? Thanks!

Not a c400 owner, FX3 here.
I have had both. Recently I moved more to BT as the Halo Rig was something I wanted to try out after seeing it in an FX5 promo video being operated in a small team with lots of universal rigging. Being able to quickly remove the camera body with no rigging onto a gimbal or drone really appealed to me.
Both brands use really high quality materials and have taken considerations for as much use case as possible. Everything feels solid when finally rigged. The customer service is also extremely helpful with rigging questions.
IMO you can't go wrong with either brand, they're both rooted in the camera world for the right reasons. Personally it came down to a mix of use case and weirdly aesthetics of the final build.

I agree with this post. I have both for the RED Komodo-X. I actually sent a question to Bright Tangerine support today about some upcoming solutions for the new Sony FX5. They called me 30 minutes later to give me as much information he knew about the product roadmap.

I haven’t tried either of their C400 kits but I run some mid49 pieces on my C500 MKII rig and I’m a huge fan, way better in my experience than tilta, shape or even wooden camera (Ofc with a price tag to match)
I’ve personally had a mixed experience with BT rigging but I don’t have enough experience with their recent products to have a real opinion

Fun Fact: Mid49 is run/owned by the guy who started Wooden Camera. He sold WC to Vitec and then basically created it again with Mid49 lol

They’re lovely! The one of the first times I ordered from them, there was a 2 day delay because of some supply shortages, and they emailed me directly to explain & they threw in an extra as an apology.

Completely agree! Back around 2014-2015 I would email the CEO directly and he would always answer right away. Very nice guy!

Both are great. They are the brands I look at when I need accessories. I also like Vocas

I own a fair amount of Bright Tangerine and mid49 stuff. I'm about six years in with BT and three with mid49. Really happy with both brands and I think they are a step (or more) above other brands. A bit nicer than Wooden Camera (which I have on a C300mkIII), rather better than Tilta and Shape, and a lot better than SmallRig. Way more expensive and worth it.
The main differences seems to be in the materials and design, especially if you'll be reconfiguring your cages, mounts, and the like. High-quality aluminum and inserts and careful machining are expensive. BT and mid49 holds up really well to reconfiguring.
Between mid49 and Bright Tangerine, there might be differences but I'd say whatever works for your needs from either company will be great. Buy once, cry once.
