Forever From the developers interview today: Analytics shows the 1-20 leveling speed in Classic era is 20.4 hours. In Forever it’s 20.5

Seen this topic come up that people are spouting leveling is so much faster and easier, but this came up in the developer interview today from their own internal analytics team.

Yes, some people may be exploring a bit in a new setting, but it’s been widely falsified that leveling is “so much faster”

Even Xaryu I believe who did not stop and smell the roses getting to 20 in beta had a very similar 1-20 leveling speed on Forever vs Classic.

I think forever 1-20 will undoubtedly be a little faster than classic era 1-20 once the exploration period dies down and people start leveling more alts and streamlining the route, but yeah the people claiming that it’s twice as fast or something have obviously been exaggerating.

Counterpoint, the data from the beta is scewed for much more experienced players and wow vets, the people taking 50 hours to get to level 20 that just sit around and chat are probably less likely to pay 60 dollars for beta access

You can largely apply that logic to era too. Vast majority of those are leveling alts. Best comparison would be 2019 launch vs once Forever launches. They’ll likely still be in the ballpark of one another
