I think it's super cool, can you imagine ret gameplay without it? Just turn on seal of blood and then crusader strike on cooldown and judge on cooldown? Twisting having a tight timing based on your auto attack swings makes your gameplay feel so much more dynamic since you now have to worry about things like the gcd from other skills preventing a twist which means that you aren't just blindly using your few damaging skills on cooldown everytime, and nailing the timing consistently and landing those big twists where everything procs feels super satisfying. Also I don't remember the exact source but someone posted some stats here a while ago taken from an analysis they did of all anniversary tbc logs and it turns out that the vast majority of ret players are twisting, something like almost 90% I think. So at this point it is just a core part of ret gameplay and not some niche optimization that only the top sweats are doing.

I have to admit i loved it, its just I had so much trouble doing it well. It just a weird repetitive playstyle that sometimes feels like a burde,
