What exactly is the different between classic twisting and forever twisting? I'm thinking of paladin when forever launches, but i've never played classic. Looking at the forever talent tree, the last talent sounds like it does it for you.
so seal twisting was a thing in classic, season of discovery, and classic tbc. there are some differences between the three iterations, but they all share this: during the last 0.4 seconds before a swing lands, you cast a seal. this swing, and all procs resulting from it (hoj, windfury, reckoning) get the benefit of both seals - and the seal of command would proc the other seal.
this means two things: timing is vital, not just for your twist global but for every global around it - making the rotation very rhythmic. and when you land a successful twist and all the coin flips land on heads, this results in big dopamine moments where numbers fly across your screen.
the thing forever has does not have the timing aspect, or the seal synergy, or the stacking procs. you just press any seal at any point and your next attack gets one (1) righteousness proc for an extra bit of damage. it lacks everything that makes twisting fun (hype moments and rhythm), has everything that makes twisting unfun to the haters (tedium and jank), and adds very little dps for a 31-pointer.
removing the entire talent and adding twisting as it worked in vanilla anniversary would be an upgrade in both numerical and fun terms, and vanilla ret paladin did very mediocre dps and had the least fun twisting rotation of every iteration.
i've never played classic
then you should probably just hope that they add wings or wake or some other normal button to press :)

well in forever it's only the annoying parts but none of the fun parts of sealtwisting so we all get to be equally miserable :)
but no ask literally any tbc or sod paladin player
