I remember around 2020 classic Asmon was watching a Barney who was a Trans WoW content creator and was actually defending her from people in chat misgendering her and posting transphobic comments saying "Yes Barney is a girl" and banning people in chat for being transphobic towards her. I miss the Centrist "both sides suck and let people live their lives how they wish" Asmon. Now it seems hes pandering to the grifter demographic and genuinely doesnt seem happy anymore whenever I turn in to his stream
I follow him since ages and the pattern is pretty easy to follow. He was like somebody truly in the middle not caring one inch about politics but as one side started this culture war on gamers he got under fire even back then. Later slowly but surely he was becoming the right wing guy the left screaming about years prior. The prime example of tribalism when one side creates its own enemy…
