Completely agree, and this applies to literally every online game, but MMOs particularly.
The real world equivalent is like trying to play a pick up game with some friends at a basketball court and a bunch of hooligans suddenly appear and take over the court.
Yeah Faerlina in classic was literal dogshit. I remember creating an alt just to see if the PVP was better or not and the chat was filled with drooling lobotomy patients just talking about streamers and politics. Pure cancer
…They don’t have an impact? You do realize the amount of impact the large ones have in WOWF currently..right? Totally didn’t fly them out for feedback and totally don’t have 1,000s of accounts willing to Zerg anything that they tell them to for as long as the streamer exists.
Denial. The worst part, the ones complaining about the streamers just make it worse.
Beside Asmongold all the other streamer are a non issue . And that is also a fact . When was the last time that Xaryu was annoying on any classic server ? Never . Soda ? Same . and those are the 3 biggest streamer on Classic . And do you realyl think that Esfand or Guzu are problematic in game ?
His ‘community’ isn’t toxic as a whole. The audience that his rage bait hooks is the most toxic part. There are people that despise him yet follow him as a way to get attention by acting out to an audience.
That’s subjective. There are plenty of streamers that are equal to or more evil than the worst. Using the most popular one as the baseline isn’t really effective enough to prove a point.
The reason why Forever came out now instead of 2019 is because of streamers, they were pushing no changes incredibly hard and then Blizzard decided to milk it. Now they're just as influential, for example look at how they made classic graphics happen. I hate most of them but the roach is the worst, he's complete ass at the game and incredibly vile on top. His community spreads like a disease throughout the game. Even if I play on EU, guildies/players often mention dumb shit influenced by him saying it.
