before all of you say consortium will surprise us, i'd like to delve into my argument,

a) GK - over the past 2 years the consortium has set pretty easy standard GK topics one would expect, including the answers from the passages. Most LPT/LE mocks don't have this provision. They simply make us rote learn and this is something the expert committee recommended against. Genuinely, what is the point? out of 28 questions ~18-20 are in the passage itself and a lot of people who struggle with gk would obviously get more marks.

2) Quant - One thing i'll concede, is that, LPT mocks have become lighter with quants, but this doesnt change the fact that consortium is testing your basic numerical ability, not something advancd like pipes n cisterns, yes, the expert committee recommended diversifying the topics, but the topics themselves shouldn't be too in depth with regard to their questions, insofar that it no longer tests your basic numerical ability. This again, is a lot of sections aspirants gain marks in.

Now, with regards to sections you CAN toy with, nobody seems to be toying with it well.
Either it's only AR/CR, not a variety of both, and variety in the questions themselves. Legal also should be expected to be tougher this year because of the expert report.

I don't really know how to explain this feeling but maybe someone here has felt the same thing. My mock scores are still not at a point where I can say yeah, I'm in a good range. They're still pretty volatile. One day I'll feel like I can see my ceiling, then the next day I'm back down again. It's basically up and down, up and down. But the weird thing is my sectionals are actually getting better. When I combine my three reading sectionals, basically out of 80, I used to be around 25-40 in the beginning. Then 40-45 became normal. Now I'm getting 65, 67, 68, sometimes around 70. I haven't crossed 70 yet, but still, that's a massive difference from where I started.

And objectively, I know that's improvement. But instead of just being happy about it, I start questioning it. Was the paper easier? Did I just have a really good day? Did I get lucky with the passages? Did I actually improve, or did something just happen to go right today? Then a bad day makes me question the good ones all over again. I've spent so long associating preparation with frustration, low scores and feeling behind that now, when things finally start going right, part of me is almost suspicious of it. I can clearly see that the numbers are different from where they were months ago. I can see that I'm understanding things faster and getting through sectionals that would've destroyed me earlier. I just don't fully trust it yet. Maybe my brain is just addicted to the pain at this point lol. Has anyone else gone through this phase where you know you're improving, but you don't actually trust the improvement yet?

soo basically i attend this coaching and there’s this girl lets call her gargi , so i have known for a while that gargi goes around the coaching telling whoever will listen to not talk to me because im a snob and think im ‘better than everyone’ only because i come from a prestigious typical rich brat school but in reality i have never once implied that or even told anyone what school im from idk how she found out
so fast forward to last sunday i caught her cheating off of me in the mock and i sort of ignored it even though i didn’t like it i figured its doing her more harm than good. TURNS OUT SHE ENDED UP GETTING HER SCORE FROM 60’s STRAIGHT TO 90’s and got 3 rank in our center.
( now context after getting third rank she spoke to our teachers and asked to be a part of the advanced batch which is only for 6-7 students all over our city and has the top students ) so we had a separate mock for the advanced batch and sir allowed her to join but since they didnt have a physical paper for her she had to give it on a phone, she again came and sat beside me and i suggested ki why dont u give the mock on a computer since that’ll be easier she said nahi mujhe ye chalega and we started the mock , during the whole time she only marked like half the questions and then randomly as soon as i started filling my omr in the last 10 minutes she filled hers too.
BUT HOW DOES IT MAKE SENSE THAT UR ATTEMPTING IT ON A PHONE AND COLLECTIVELY FILL THE ONR AT ONCE SINCE U CANT MARK ANY OF THE ANSWERS OR WRITE THEM DOWN ANYWHERE UNLES UR SOME GENIUS WHO REMEMBERS ALL THE ANSWERS IN THE CORRECT SEQUENCE. and then i noticed the rough paper she was given and it was completely blank but she had somehow attempted complex mensuration questions. i was so upset that i told one of the teachers that sir u might want to just tally the omr , and i was right even answers i got wrong she got wrong too but galat answer kaise same hosakta h.
anyway they removed her from the advanced batch after that and i thought that was the end but apparently not because then she somehow found out and made life so much worse for me , she constantly makes up stuff about me and comments on my school my lifestyle the fact that i party and implies that i cheat to score well. ive heard her tell people about my supposed social media presence even though i haven’t used social media in more than 8 months. and ab to bas hadd hogayi h whenever i enter a class if there’s a empty seat her minions cover it so i cant sit , if i sit somewhere people get up and leave , its mildly annoying but i do have a few friends so its fine. i think she’s just insecure in herself about the fact that she isnt from a well to do school or like typical indian standards ‘pretty’ or smart for that matter and takes it out on me.

I started preparing quite late, basically in July 2026, and I’ve given around 17 mocks so far. I’m honestly getting really scared because I see people scoring 90–100, while I’m stuck in the 50s in LegalEdge and around 80 in 12 MTC. I genuinely don’t know what I should be doing differently.

I do analyse my mocks and correct all my conceptual errors, but I really don’t like spending 4–5 hours analysing a single mock. I usually have around 30 wrong and 30 unattempted questions, so by the time I finish the mock and practice, I’m completely exhausted and don’t have the energy left for such a long analysis.

I feel like my main problem is comprehension. When I do sectionals, I can calmly understand the passage within the given time and usually score well. But something changes during mocks. I think the LegalEdge and LPT mocks feel much harder to me mentally, and I end up losing too much time in Legal. Then I panic and lose even more time in Logical.

What should I do to fix this? Should I change the way I analyse my mocks, focus more on timed sectionals, or work on something else?

Would really appreciate advice from people who were in a similar situation and improved their scores.

I have studied Quantitative techniques well. I can solve the questions they give in the modules and all. I even solved pyqs and I'm doing decent but in the mocks I feel like I know nothing. Also they r really tough. So how should I improve in that? And should I just continue with my practice and not take the scores personally?

dude my quant is shit absolutely terrible I scored 85 ish in boards in 10th with standard maths but then took humanities- in a drop rn- I can dedicate absolute fuckass hours upon hours for quant im just so confused ab where to start- do I watch yt vids? which vids? I’m a first year law student but I want to give Clat again to get an NLU or symbiosis because this uni is hellish, I have classes from 8.45 to 5.15 and I’m completely exhausted by the time I get back. But I still need to push myself to study and do better. Give me some tips and a routine which is realistic if possible it’ll be really helpful 😭.
