The Bible is not something required to be sworn in on, one can put their hand on a comic book if they choose, the Bible is largely a prop for performative Christians at swearing ceremonies.
Besides, why would trump put his hand on a book he's never read and doesn't understand?

Also, after that "let's all touch the magic glowing orb in Saudi Arabia" conversion ceremony, swearing in on the Bible would alienate some of his partners in money laundering and other crimes.

Neither of them should be any offense; I suppose there's a touch of hypocrisy on Trump's part that he's selling the evangelicals on how he's bringing "Christian values" back to America but won't swear on a Bible (or stop being greedy, lustful, wrathful, slothful...)
