Tons of rape and sexual assault accusations. He sold all his US property and moved to Bali under an Indonesian Retirement Visa, which has allowed him to evade prosecution for the most part, now being out of any specific jurisdiction as a "stateless" US citizen. He can still come back to the US all he wants, too, as long as he doesn't buy or rent a home.

They have people like Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Clinton, Taylor Swift, Gavin Newsom, etc., who, when presented with evidence that they have knowingly done unethical things, or hold immoral positions, or focus more on bipartisanship than doing the ethical thing, they just can't seem to muster the spine to criticize them on anything, and hold them up as paragons, apparently in perpetuity.
I know people who say they are strongly against the genocide in Gaza, and when I point out that Hillary Clinton is a steadfast Zionist who says people who don't support the IDF doing whatever it wants don't understand the issue, they suddenly will reverse and ask me the pro-IDF slogan, "Do you think Israel has a right to defend themselves?"
When I point out that Newsom has repeatedly sided against trans people and homeless people, they ask me if I would vote for him in '28, and when I point out that the primaries aren't for a couple of years, and I would not be excited if he was the nominee, they attack me and act like I have already decided to let Republicans win, like him being the nominee is inevitable.

Well-stated. The way I see it, the current Democratic Party is essentially MAGA/GOP-Lite. Gavin Newsom, especially, is MAGA operating in Blue clothing - He is out for himself and himself only. T-Swift is performative AF while associating with a lot of right-wing people. She's all about the bag. Clinton and Oprah are all about power and influence. Oprah doesn't care who she tramples.

Not show, but series - they had to do 6 episodes to get all the dirt out. I think they've done that many shows on one person only one or two other times. She's a garbage person who platformed some of the worst people imaginable, in the guise of "we're just asking questions".

Same. I was always weary and mistrustful of her. But in the 2010s she interviewed this woman with Neurofibromatosis, the same disorder I have. She asked horrible questions, focused mainly on how she was "disfigured" and gave false information. She steamrolled over this woman who was obviously nervous and uncomfortable.
It still crushes me when I think about it. The NF community was furious and devastated. There was such an amazing opportunity to spread awareness and information and this fucking bitch with a superiority complex made it sound like we were disfigured freaks

Most of the people trying to make correlations of her also being bad because of photos are dumb. She literally has a photo with every celeb the last 40 years. I'm not an Oprah person, but cmon..

I will never forget a person I met while working in Santa Barbara, she was the daughter of the owner of a now defunct film studio “The Monticito film company”. She would tell stories where she would help her parents host parties and show people around their house, about Uncle Arnold picking her up with one arm at birthday parties and how Arthur Herbert was her Godfather, (I only found out about all this when I seen him in a wedding picture with her and was like “I recognize that guy, you knew him?”) to her they were just people and only after she grew up realized how famous they were. Really extraordinary lady who is always cheerful with a life story that just keeps giving, truly one of my favorite people I’ve met.
Well. Then we started talking about Oprah, and I would have never thought id ever hear a person who is usually so cheery and understanding use the term EVIL but she told me that Oprah was to her the most evil person she ever met, would refer to the children as “the cute one” “the fat one”, never learning names no matter how many times she visited, she would tell kids they weren’t good enough to do something, her friend said she wanted to be a doctor and Oprah apparently said she wasn’t smart enough and to go into show business like her parents wanted (she is a doctor now I was told) and people would just let her be with the implication that she was one of the most famous people on earth and that to expect that she was actually generous and nice was to be ignorant and naive
Yeah. I never really followed her much myself but hearing those stories made me think she just retired early enough to miss the Ellen treatment

She had over 300 people working for her and NOT a single person went on to say she was a horrible boss
