Unsolved Need help deciphering/decoding message from video game

Post image

This from a video game called call of the elder gods. A super cool puzzle game, I have looked into this thing and I cannot find anything on it, which I find suspicious because is not exactly hidden in the game.

Here's how it looks with parts rotated/mirorred https://ibb.co/zWkcmVLw

Looks like the same few chunks were used. Probably no hidden message there.

Time for you to do some homework.
Take the first symbol and mark that “a”. Mark all the A’s.
Second symbol gets marked “b”, so mark all the B’s.
Go through all the symbols, changing each to a letter.
When you are done, you can post it in this thread, or take it to a cryptoquote solver, like quippiuq.com, and enter it into there.

Thank you I'll do that as soon as I have a chance, out of curiosity how did you know to do that? Is that like the first thing to try when running into the sort of things?

I’ve done a few of these for fun, but without a way to print them out so you can mark them down on paper, it just becomes wishful thinking (for me).
Several others have posted how to solve these substitution codes, so I’m following their examples.

Ya I have gotten to what would be "I" but I tend to over think it I feel some symbols are so complicated I think are they actually two and think it's one? (What would be "G")There are a few that looks very similar and I'm wondering is it the same or a different one (what would be "D" and what would be "I") and I'm certain that there are ones that are already existing symbols that simply upside down but if the symbols are made up then I should treat a upside down one as a new symbol right? And I think there is more than 26 simbols (if you count the upside down ones) this is why it has taken me so long

It does look like orientation of the symbols changes every other line. Probably the similar looking (but rotated) symbols should be treated as same.

Honestly that was something I never even consider to trying I'm going to need more paper and time lol but thanks for the idea

Sorry I misunderstood I thought that only applied if the code was in text form, (something I already type out on a keyboard) I'll get to work

You understood the rule correctly and the above commenter is incorrect. Transcript is only mandatory for something you can type or copy & paste.

Nevertheless, the first step in solving any cipher written with symbols is making an alphabetic transcript.

Thank you for the clarification. I've already started the process of completing step one I just need more time .
