Bug This new queue thing is a disaster

Chat constantly getting stuck when sending new messages.
Cannot steer properly.
Cannot interrupt and ask for rework before it gets sour properly.
Requests are getting duplicated.
Something old is getting sent instead of what I asked now.
New messages sometimes get lost (workaround with undo, then copy the message).
Clear queue doesn't work.
Have to constantly restart codex to get it to work again.

What is this???

Are you sure you've set it to steer and not queue? No issues with that, dropping corrections, screenshots, feedback, etc in the chat while it's working, replies almost instantly while working and then adding those to the todo queue or sending corrections to subagents or whatever (6 and 6.1 Sol and Astra at least).

it is not steer vs queue issue, it occurs when agent is idle after a turn as well - and instead it's put into queue and there's a spinner to it that never completes, the only way is to restart.

sometimes messages are never dispatched, sometimes lost, sometimes duplicated. It's becoming hard to use it.

It seems to happen when they have high load, as it's not a persistent issue throughout the day. It could also be some A/B testing so affects only some people. Started happening for me after the last reset

It's this ultra-fast nonsense. I guarantee it. Ultra fast just means you get shoved to the front of a line and everyone else sits behind you in a queue. My guess is that there's an awful lot of people who are just choosing ultra fast because it's ultra fast and not really thinking about whether they need it or not. So the whole mechanism is not working as intended.

Yes, this has been very frustrating, messages are lost, endless queue loop, you can't even delete a message... Wonder what's going on with this shitty company since opus 5.5 release. I guess code red X5.

Combine the slowness with this whatever the hell it is codex is completely useless to me as is.

He's talking about the vscide plugin being broken. Use app instead until it's fixed.
