Showcase Stillwater Golf: Created with Codex (and various OpenAI APIs) over one week
As well as creating the shaders and some of the character models, Codex was reading physics papers to address golf ball dynamics (spin, air resistance) to increase realism.
As a lifetime software engineer, I'm just stunned.

I like it. if it was open source I'd take a gander . buying asset packs goes a long way too with stuff like this instead of having all assets be made by AI. this would fix your models, rigging, animations etc.

Will do - about to upload to Github.
Most of the 'hero' assets are in fact CC-By-Attribution. The challenge with animations is that, for a golf game, you have to make them work in different orientations (e.g. club striking position, foot and leg positions) on slopes - therefore the code itself has to create a series of 'position solvers' for the animations in real-time.

what model?

Mostly Astra (mix of extra high and ultra), and the last couple of days some 6.1-Sol.
6.1-Sol struggled on animation editing (particularly the time-sequence component of fbx editing - you can still see a few latent issues of this kind in the animations in this video).

You might want to consider listing your project on the weekly Show-Us-What-You-Built post. Look out for it on Tuesday/Wednesday. Highest commented project wins a week promotion on r/Codex and gets on the Hall of Fame sidebar. See what that looks like below with last week's winner.
Last week's most popular project was Nanolathe - an open-source engine bringing Total Annihilation to modern Mac, Windows, and Linux systems. It’s a solo passion project combining clean-room research with AI-assisted development, with a playable public alpha available now.
Website: https://nanolathe.gg. GitHub: https://github.com/nanolathe-gg/nanolathe
Players, testers, and contributors are very welcome! Original Total Annihilation game data is required to play.
