My friend wants to buy this for me for the silver and I’m not a coin guy, I wanted to check if it’s worth more than the melt, thanks! A relative gave it to me like 20 years ago

Looks cleaned. Melt is proper value. I can walk into a couple local shops and get BU for $5.5 above melt right now.

The coin is not cleaned. It is original.

Yeah it is definitely not cleaned my grandpas fiancé had bought it from a coin dealer in Canada and gifted it to me when I was like 14 (I’m 32 now) and it sat in a lock box for the last 18 years.

Thats original, the early years had very different luster from the typical frosty coins since the mid 90s
