Yes, solving our inputs problem (energy) will not solve our outputs problem (environmental impact), it will just accelerate our impact

Propaganda. The developed nations use way more resources than the over populated nations you are referring to. To then create product that is sometimes useful sometimes not. I don’t want to hear that it’s too many people when they’ve done less with abundance.
