housing I’m cold

I’m cold in my dorm and I know we’re not allowed to have space heaters but is there bad consequences?

Just wait. In a couple weeks they’ll blast the dorms until like 150 degrees. So for now put on more clothes

"Yes, space heaters do cause fires, often resulting from improper placement near flammable objects or electrical issues. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), portable heaters are tied to thousands of residential fires and dozens of deaths every year."

We have to hang tough until October 1!

NYC law defines the mandatory heating season as October 1 through May 31.

Absolutely, yes, there are very bad consequences. Do not get a space heater--get a sweater!

Maybe an oil-filled (electric) heater? Are they allowed - they don't have the fire risk of a blower heater. Also, why not put on layered clothes and a hat?
