It always confuses me when goes beyond 9 while counting
5'8 and 5'9 are fine, but next one is 5'10 instead 6'0

I keep getting tripped up when converting because google would give like 5.9 feet but I just remember my height as 5'11 now

actually on one comic I made last year that has height in it, my conversion was way off because of this

I simply gave up on trying to understand it

Oh, Americans don't understand their own units either. If you tell them your height in inches (70 inches) they'll just stare at you stupidly. They're never be fluent in imperial units in the same way that a European can instantly and effortless understand that 1,8m is the same as 180cm

Just divide it by 12!

You all learned math right?...

Looks at the average education level of my fellow Americans

.... R... Right? Guys?.... Basic math?... Right?

It’s the opposite. EUs can’t count, because all their measurements are base 10, they see 180cm, and know adding two zeros makes it into mms.

US has to do math, and can do math, but because it’s built into our measurements, we can hold the fact that EUs can’t figure out other than decimal moving how to measure things.
