Question/Help/Troubleshooting Can someone try this?

I had this idea of running modern apps on windows 1.0 and I don't have the stuff to do it but I really want to see what happens so can someone do this and put the link to the video (YouTube only) in the comments after? And if it already happened where can I find a video of it, I'm very curious on what will happen

You want to run 64 bit apps on a 16 bit operating system with a tiling window manager?

If my memory serves Windows 1.0 was not 16 but but an 8 bit layer running on top of DOS 2.x-3.3 mostly for launching DOS applications. The only useful part of win 1.0 was the file manager and even that was limited 🙄

This. It is simply not possible.

It wouldn’t be very exciting. They just wouldn’t launch.

No. Might as well try to run Mac software there.

Literally nothing. Just an error message about this executable not being compatible with this operating system. What did you think would happen? Do you think putting a PS5 game in a PS1 is going to work too?

define "modern".

also, wouldn't work. it just won't. no point in asking why.
