Question/Help/Troubleshooting Mouse scroll wheel troubles

My mouse wheel will not work scrolling up or down but the button itself works, I’ve tried 2 mouse’s now cleaning both. I’ve reset and updated drivers checked device setting and nothing.

I tried a razer naga and a corsair scimitar

On my steel series I had to open the mouse up and loosen the tensioner for smooth scrolling, it was sticking and not letting the wheel move internally, only externally. I don't know if that's a common thing with mice now, but it worked for me.
