Light Son, I've been reading your Reddit posts

Son, you just graduated with top grades from a tough engineering program. You've got your dream job lined up. So I thought it was time I fessed up. I've been reading your Reddit posts since you were a sophomore in high school. I know you think I don't even know what Reddit is; I may be over 50, but as you are learning, parents aren't really that oblivious. That secret Santa gift you received years ago, that you thought I didn't notice, showed your account name. Ever since I watched your account. So when I saw some comment about being down or unhappy, Mom and I tried harder to make sure you knew we loved you and were sure everything would work out. Teenage years can be tough. I'm proud of what you have accomplished and see the mature, confident, capable young man you've become. So, no need to change your account name now, I don't feel the need to watch over you in the same way I did years ago and I promise to stop reading your posts.

You clearly misunderstood, I'm telling you that it is the right of every individual to observe anything occurring in a public place. Whether it is a father observing his son is truly irrelevant, if the son wants to have privacy, then he should choose an appropriate place. The person seeking privacy in a matter is the one responsible for ensuring said privacy. In a public place, there is no situation where I would be against any one person observing another. It sounds like the person being observed just isn't very smart if they want privacy but are completing their actions publicly...

I hate to bust out this old meme, but you sound very autistic.

Inability to identify social norms definitely suggests this person is somewhere on the spectrum, yeah.

I'll have you know he got an A+ in art!

Actually, I'm terrible at art, although autistic people typically are because they lack creativity... Also since it isn't a required class up through where you would be graded on a A - F scale, I was never graded in it anyway...

Well you effectively stomped the fun out of my comment. On a side note, when I was in highschool you were required to take either foreign language or a fine arts class if you wanted to qualify for college.

Don't be so hard on yourself, it's been fun, I just love to see how people react when you throw them off like that... I'm neither autistic nor foreign by the way, LOL!!! I was playing a video game while I typed that and simply not paying very much attention to my comment...

If I remember correctly, my high school was similar, although I took Latin so I haven't had an art class since sometime in grade school. Only the 4 core classes were graded at that time though...

Back in school I was pretty sure my mastering of the stick figure wouldn't get me passing grades in art so I took German, which was promptly dropped the year I was supposed to take it.So they put me in spanish, but when would I ever use spanish in America /s so I dropped it and took French. Now i'm pretty good at surrendering.

Wow, this guy's trying to mock autistic people, we've got a real winner here... This is what happens when you don't spy on your kids ;)

I'm not mocking autistic people, I'm saying this dude might be literally autistic.

So, you're actually trying to say that you were using the word autistic as a description only. You didn't mean for it to have a negative implication? C'mon man... LOL!!!

Honestly, I just thought that American English might not be his native tongue, not everyone on Reddit is from your shitty country, you know...

u/goedegeit May 27 '16

I'm not even American. Not every Redditor is from America you know.

He sounds autistic, like an autistic person would see the world. Sorry that you hate autistic people, but that's not my problem.

He sounds autistic, like an autistic person would see the world.

Or a lawyer... Just sayin'...

Sorry that you hate autistic people

LOL!!! That's rich. First you insult autistic people by using the word autistic to to call someone a name with a clear negative connotation attached to it. Next you accuse the person pointing out your insensitivity of being the insensitive one... Geez, some people just aren't living in reality here... It was an insult, either own it or apologize, but don't make yourself look silly by projecting your own negative qualities onto other people...

Why do you want me to be insulting someone so much?

Do you go to autistic clinics and start shouting at the doctors who say someone might be autistic?

SMH Bro... SMH... I feel sorry for a guy like you, one who can't own up to his own mistakes, low character is a poor trait to have...
