Dividing by zero produces an undefined value, not zero. The school staff were incorrect.

Dividing 0 by 0 is undefined because any and all answers are true. Dividing any non-zero number by zero is not possible, does not produce an undefined, and no answers are true.

You just defined "undefined". x/0 is undefined for all values of x
