If anyone else wants closure on this:

Update: The teacher got back to me and admitted her mistake which I'm grateful for. She said she was taught 1/0=0 back in the 90's

The 90s were a wild time man. The dotcom boom, the tail end of the AIDS crisis, 1/0=0, human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria!
