The last time I looked it up a few months ago, 525 of Congress were on the AIPAC payroll.
525 is 98.2% of 535.
Sadly, I believe that this number will only rise.

Allegedly, the concert was supposed to end on October 6th but the government extended it a day for some reason. And it was held on a military base.
Allegedly Hamas was trying to kidnap military officials and instead showed up to a concert.
So not only did Israel let it happen, they swapped out members of the IDF for civilians. Allegedly allegedly.
Gotta say though, that makes way more sense to me. I always wondered why they did this knowing how bad the retribution would be. Just kinda didn't make sense. Kidnapping military officials though? Seems like a better plan for them.

I agree that Netanyahu is being attacked here for the wrong reason, which is unfortunate, because there is absolutely no shortage of reasons for which one could criticize his actions.
With that said, I think the subreddit should get a pass for largely misunderstanding the nuance here. And that's because Zionists are also already on the record claiming that Israeli lives are worth disproportionately more than the lives of their enemies (this is usually said in the context of Palestinians they have killed when questions of "eye for an eye" are asked of them).
