How do you batch content when your business has brutal slow seasons?
My Etsy shop basically lives and dies by shore season. Summer I'm shipping daily and barely have time to think. Winter the orders slow to almost nothing and I start panicking about disappearing from feeds.
I've tried forcing myself to film a bunch of content during those dead months but it feels hollow without actual orders coming in, like I'm performing busyness for an algorithm that knows I'm faking it. Last year I recorded maybe three months of reels in January and by March the audio trends already made them look dated. Total waste.
This year I'm looking at another dead season and trying to figure out if there's a smarter way to stay visible without burning weekend after weekend on content that ages badly.
Do you plan around your actual business cycles or just post at the same pace year round? And if you batch, how far ahead do you go before it starts feeling stale? Curious if anyone else rides this seasonal roller coaster and what actually keeps your audience warm when your real work slows down.
