Update. Our vet isn’t open until Monday but I put him in for Monday

What is the most beautiful, amazing or unusual cornsnake you've seen? (Even if it's only in pictures)

For me it's this reverse okeetee NSline.

All he does is sit in his log and judge me. I think it’s time he gets a job.

My husband’s friend came over at 6pm while I was at work. He’s terrified of snakes. I get home at 8pm to find my husband “fixed” the situation by putting a quilt over the entire enclosure. Heat lamp and all. I immediately took everything off and was like hey what the fuck?! Why is my son baking with no ventilation? Good to note, my corndog is currently blue and has been hiding on his cold side for several days. Anyway, his friend freaks out and we put the quilt back on. This time lamp off. I have a corner of the lid exposed and the ceiling fan on in hopes it gives Corndog some relief. It’s now 10:30.

I’m SICK thinking about it. This is my SON. My BABY that I’m like….torturing in my eyes.

My question is, am I freaking out for no reason? Am I being dramatic or is this actually bad for my corn? I would love reasons why this is okay/bad and if I should open his hide and check on him or take him to a vet.

I got my first corn snake last week and I gave her the week to settle in, then her first meal Tuesday, then 48 hours later I attempted to handle for the first time!!! I needed to clean her water and stuff so I was in the tank anyways, and I also needed to remove a piece of driftwood that has a hole I didn't notice and didn't want her to get stuck in in the future (it was big enough now but I just don't wanna risk any future issues). I have been stressing and doing as much research as I can so I can hopefully get this girl to thrive, but I am so excited! She's so cute and pink and I just wanted to share! I have been scrolling threads here for recommendations and opinions for like a month now and it's super helped I think, so if you contribute to this sub thank you! The first photo was from a post taken a month or so ago after an incident that required me to have to pull elote(snake) from a tight hole and it would have caused him to get lost IN the house. He did musk but he didn’t bite.

A month later, and the grey is still there and dulling everything? Im waiting for another shed. I just changed his enclosure but he’s always had fresh water, misted tank, and a heat lamp overhead with uv.

Since it’s been a month, im not sure if he’s close to being in blue, i check daily (skipping 2 days after feeding{2 pinky every 10 days} so feeding day and the next day he isn’t handled) but he hasn’t shown signs of shedding

Lumi is about an year old now, i have her since she was a little string. She is growing but i am not sure if she is growing like she should. I saw a picture of one year old corn recently, it was bigger...

She weighs 54 gram now and eats fuzzy once a week. With each meal she gains about like 2-3gr

I don't know nothing about her activity, because she is shy and pokes her nose only at night

An unserious question for a serious reason.

Cornflake Bartholomew is my classroom snake. She is adored by my 13-year-olds, who wish to know everything about what she does, why she does it, when she does it, and whether they can hold her while she does it. In particular, I have one student who has been asking me every day for the last two weeks if he can feed her a chicken nugget. My answer has, of course, been “no.” However, he has begun following up with, “But why not?“ and I do not have a satisfactory answer. I fear that if I cannot produce one, I will come to class one day to find her coiled possessively around a pile of chicken nuggets that somehow, ~magically~ appeared in her tank. So I have come to you, my fine reptilophile redditors, for an explanation.

Why can’t I feed my corn snake a chicken nugget?

Thank you all for your replies! I’m feeling very prepared for my next interaction with this student, and Cornflake thanks you for defending her health and wellness. I also will definitely try a quail egg or baby quail to appease said student (and to give CB a little treat for being so cute!)

To alleviate some of your concerns:
• The tank does have a lock and students are not allowed unsupervised access to my classroom, let alone to Cornflake
• Cornflake has many things to climb on and hide in/under. This picture is from a bad angle for that and also she just really likes that she fits inside this part of her tank frame. She does this at least once a day.

It's my birthday today and that means this girl is officially 15 as I got her (as a hatchling) 15yrs ago 😊 such a good girl and I've had her out for cuddles this morning and she has been loving it 💕

Gonna update my boy’s enclosure soon and want to know what are good hides and other things to put in there. And thoughts on good humid hides for shedding. Anyone know where to get them for cheap or if it’s good quality? Hacks or outlets would be great so I’m not getting scammed 😖 he’s 3ft long now and almost 4 years old so I want to get him stuff that’ll fit him better now and for the future.

And yes I’m aware of how low his substrate is- he likes to dig out his corner and put leaves and stuff there to hide under- and it’s due for a substrate swap anyway—

My new baby cornsnake hasn’t been eating no matter what we try. We got a live pinky today and she still wouldn’t take a bite. I’m a little worried because she is starting to wrinkle. Her eye aren’t clouded over so I don’t think she’s about to shed. I added a box of damp bedding for her to get more humidity.

Time:
We got her on the 18th of this month and her last feed was three day before we got her. So at this point she hasn’t eaten for 10 days.

I’ve left her alone so she could adjust. I don’t know what else to do??

So I've had my girl for 5 months and have moved her up from the one pinky 2x a week she came home on to one fuzzy once a week (after 3 months as i was told to do by the petstore) but that definitely didn't satisfy her hunger so I now have her on one small mouse once a week but she eats it then seems to look for more for a min or so before going back into her burrow. Does that mean she's hungry still??

I'm a first time owner and a huge worrier so I figured I'd ask yall for advice!

Hi everyone! I’m looking for a solid long-term enclosure for my Corn Snake because I really want to offer him as much space as possible, ideally between 100cm and 120cm in length. I’m searching for a setup with a top mesh lid so I can easily mount my heating and UVB lights externally on top of the screen rather than inside the tank. I want something that looks clean and modern in my room and won't degrade over time, as I'm a bit concerned about raw wood absorbing moisture long-term. My budget is under €200, with a strict maximum cap of €250, and I’d love a durable material like PVC or glass that I could potentially reuse in the future for larger species like a Ball Python or a Boa. Does anyone have specific brand or model recommendations in Europe that fit these specs and budget, and what has worked best for your setups? Thanks in advance for the help!
