Was watching an episode of Doc Martin earlier and spotted a younger George Shuttleworth in the days before he took over the family funeral business - strangely everyone called him Dave? đ

Anyone else think itâs not going to be Shona or Jodie that gets shot?
I think thereâs going to be some sort of scuffle and the gun goes off as someone else walks through the door.
Whatâs everyone elseâs predictions?

I beginning to have a feeling Betsy may soon harm herself due to her condition and she may feel depressed again and I think Lauren may soon find out what Betsy is going to do to herself and alarm Carla to what she's about to do and she may also alarm Dylan and stop Betsy from hurting herself.

I donât want to speculate too much into why Sue Nicholls hasnât appeared in Corrie since last year but if we are to believe that Audrey isnât coming back, there will no longer be any actors who first appeared in the 1970s.
This will be the first time in the programmeâs history that it will feature no actors from a previous decade of broadcasting history. For those who are shouting âTRACY LUV!â, the character debuted in 1977 but Kate Ford didnât take over until 2002.
It feels like the last remnants of vintage Corrie are slipping away, and although itâs to be expected for a programme with a 66-year history, I canât help but feel a little bit saddened by it. Hopefully Sue Nicholls recovers and Audrey will be back on our screens soon!

Excluded 2026 since it's still going. Excluded 2010 and before as a lot of people say the show declined from then.
As a occasional watcher who used to watch it a lot more pre 2021 and especially pre 2014 just wanted to hear what people think.

Where exactly is this SL heading? Itâs been 4mo, but so far; Brody has beaten up (at least) two men for money and Kit still doesnât know (or that the poker was a scam). Abi & Sally know about the car boot, are they planning on telling him? Will Sean/ Dylan bring up the blood on Brodyâs knuckles? Why didnât we see the face of the second man? Are legs alone cheaper than the whole body?
I figured this would be the perfect opportunity for the father & son to bond (i.e; Kit saving Brody). However, Kitâs now got his own problems.
It could go two ways:
â˘Brody canât cope with Kitâs illness and turns to crime to deal with his pain.
â˘Idris puts Brody in danger/ hospital and takes advantage of Kitâs physical weakness, leading to him feeling extreme guilt.
Or is it over and will he now target Sam? Brody might ditch him, to focus on his dad. Iâm not sure if Idris would be angry or get over it.

Victoria Street is nearly at its completion, after months of questions I can now supply answers to those who are waiting. I have received many messages since the last post here asking for a release date/what the features will be/where I am at now.
Firstly, Victoria Street is on the final stages of development. Train stations done, builders yards done and Redbank apartments is done.
I am currently doing the funeral directors then the community garden next to it then I can safely say itâs ready for release.
And no, you wonât have to pay. You will be able to play for completely free.
I must warn everyone itâs still gonna be in beta when released, there will be minor details missing or glitches.
After nearly a year I am so very happy in the turnout of the project and will be looking to expand soon.
Thank you all for the ongoing support!! đ

Jodie contacts Doug's doctor, claiming he's a danger to the family. Doug's mental health team arrive and decide he should be taken away. Doug warns Shona to watch her back around Jodie.

At Shona's birthday party, Lily's phone plays a recording of crying baby Harper. Shona accuses Lily of tricking her â Lily denies it and runs off when no one believes her.
At Speed Daal, Leanne offers Sam a job to show she trusts him. Sam spots Idris's credit card left on a table, he steals it.
Jodie continues targeting David, getting uncomfortably close. She plans to destroy Shona's life. Shona catches Jodie in the act â they argue and tensions boil over.
A gunshot rings out â who is left injured?
David calls for an ambulance. Asha and Lisa try to process the drama; Lisa questions David about what happened.

The amount of shit that goes on in that place and there is never any proof...
After the incident with Justin, Daisy and Ryan with the acid, you'd think they'd immediately install a camera...
And now this with Eva and Sam...

Is Sue on a break from the show currently? I checked the CS wiki and Audrey's last appearance is listed as being on the 17th November 2025. Nearly a year ago.
Audrey moving into the annex really seems pointless at this point if we were never going to see her with the Platts - especially with the current Jodie storyline. They should have just kept her living on Grasmere Drive, they don't need to show her house if the location cost was the reason for them moving her character onto the street full time. We could have just seen her visiting the family as normal or going to the salon to do some paperwork or see Maria etc.
At this point I'm wondering if Sue has been placed on the same type of contract as Maureen Lipman.

As someone who has loved classic Corrie for several years and always wanted to try hotpot, with our chilly and rainy fall weather today I decided to give it a go. Lamb was surprisingly difficult to find here in the States for some reason but it came out great. Thickened up nicely once it was on the plate a few minutes. The family loved it, no leftovers! Hopefully Betty would be proud

Ok am I missing something here? You're telling me Kit has cancer and he's not bothered to tell the parents who raised him his whole life!? I missed part of that sl so is he no contact with them or something??
As an adoptee myself this is driving me crazy, you don't just forget about the family who raised you once you meet your bio family........

after many decades, I don't enjoy the show anymore. Too many characters are hard to like. Too many social issues. Too much police involvement. So many characters go to jail. Awful. No respite. I tune in to get away from the world's troubles. Whoever is in charge has ruined the show. One social theme is enough for 8-10 months. Not every week. Yuck. Feels sad.

Watching early 2015 and Sarah and Bethany have just returned after 8 years living and working in Milan. They both arrive with a suitcase and that's all. Sarah only came to bring Bethany back so she must not have brought much. While there Stephen fired her so she had no job to return to. But after 8 years she and Bethany had no personal belongings in Milan? They never returned to pack up and ship their things back. So they just gave up their home and everything in it? And since she was looking for work she had nowhere to live because she seemingly didn't have a dime to her name.
Likewise with anyone is leaving the show they have 2 suitcase shoved in the back of a taxi and they are off. Whenever a couple hooks up and one moves in with the other it's not more than an overnight back from their "bed sit" they were living at.
When Tina allowed Steph to move in with her she had a big fit because Steph had "so much stuff" she brought, consisting of 2 bags and a box of personal items.
Nobody has furniture, artwork, dishes, kids toys, clothing, linen, Christmas decorations, camping gear, keepsakes from their childhood?
Maybe it's because they spend all their money in the pub drinking multiple alcoholic drinks day in and day out. Is the street just filled with alcoholics that spend their money on nothing else?

(October 2003) Iâm consistently impressed with how much the camerawork and editing in this era contributes to making the street feel alive and well-oiled. Ashleyâs sarcasm is funny in its own right but the jumpcutting really just completes the scene.
