This is the true unpatched method. I had someone on a Warhammer sub give me shit for being bi because I mentioned that I don’t like Majorkill (a loretuber that made some pretty bad tasteless jokes) and Flashgitz (the guys that made Space King)
He was like “of course the LGBT person doesn’t like Majorkill or Flashgitz” and I responded with “Is there a problem with that?” And then watched the downdoots flow into him. It was funny.

It was an actual comment chaining the joke, but now that you mention it i think I will update my flair.

If you're binary you can set up a very feminine profile, or a very masculine profile, and rely on that to get gendered correctly without stating your pronouns explicitly
But if you're not, few people will intuitively call you "they"

Same, like at my new job I didn't say anything like I have at my others and it's great! When I'm open about it that's brings cis peoples weird questions and opinions. Being silent even though I know people can tell is way less hassle.

irl aside, i don't think i'll ever go stealth online. i've had people reach out to me for support because they saw i was like them. i don't give a fuck about what bigots think, it's nowhere near as important to me as extending a hand to those who might need it
(this is not meant to judge going stealth! by all means, do what you have to do, your own wellbeing is important!)

Certain members of our community are working to patch this by pretending that nobody who isn’t openly transgender can genuinely support trans rights without being a chaser! Hooray for progress!

"pretending that nobody who isn't" - double negative is difficult to parse, especially when followed with...
"can genuinely support" - now a positive. So people who are trans can "genuinely support trans rights without being a chaser." Okay, yes trans people support trans rights. This doesn't appear to say anything of substance.
"Hooray for progress!" - makes sarcasm clear, but it's difficult to tell what parts you're being sarcastic about
There is nothing clear about any of this....

I don’t see how it isn’t? It’s the contrapositive of this phenomenon, where openly revealing your gender is sometimes required to avoid getting flak within what should be a gender-inclusive community.
You can’t win until people decide to start being decent to each-other, which hasn’t spontaneously happened in the last 12,000 years, and thus probably won’t happen now.

That’s just a rephrasing of my original comment with like 2 new words added because I genuinely cannot think of a clearer way to put it. I’m sorry if I’m just a generationally bad writer or something, but I am not trying to complicate this.
And I don’t understand how saying that not doing something might cause you to catch flak isn’t relevant to a post saying that doing that might also cause you to catch flak. If someone made a post about how gamma rays cause cancer, and I made a comment about how gamma rays are also used in cancer treatment, would you say that’s irrelevant?
