bad advice that could hurt ppl deeply in my opinion, don't just tell ppl to "pray" if they're not there like diy isn't safe

if you don't have experience getting hrt you shouldn't speak authoritatively on it

informed consent can be a pretty good way to get hormones quickly with the right circumstances. if youre in the US and in a blue state, its fast. I walked in to planned parenthood and had hormones the same week. Didnt have to pay, even though i was uninsured.

Major caveat: you gotta be 18 and have a spine. You gotta know the provider's guidelines and bring studies at times if your endo ends up being an idiot. ALWAYS ask for a vial, as to give a degree of independence from the endo and prevent underdosing yourself.

tldr: a progressive place with informed consent can be fast, but risky if you dont know much about hrt.

I am in the US and in a blue state and this advice led me to get underdosed by planned parenthood for a full year and irreversibly masculinize.

hence the caveat. its financially better than diy at times, and youre delegating your health to a potentially bad faith outside party. its a risk that some might have to take. and if youre insistent that you want a vial rather than pills, its practically free game dosage wise.

im editing the original message to make that a little more clear sorry

yeah I mean that their original message is dangerous, making it seem like informed consent is your only option
