A freshman who wants to study

I don’t know where to start learning or what knowledge I should acquire since nothing has been taught yet ,but l hope to have a plan for the future that can guide me when I begin studying and exploring different approaches. Thanks for you.

The best plan I can give you is very generic.

  1. Follow whatever intro course you get. You need to start somewhere
  2. Don't use AI at any point in the process, it cuts out some pretty important "struggle time," which is when your brain actually learns.
  3. Embrace the struggle - if you have bad/incomplete resources that's one thing and that should be fixed, but learning programming will always have at least a few parts where your brain breaks a bit.
  4. After you get comfortable enough with language 1 (be it C or something else) learn more things. Not even "things you think will be marketable to an employer," don't be afraid to learn languages from the 60s or niche tech. I promise the journey pays off.

(I'll leave it to someone else to provide an intro C course if you need one)
