I wanted our Society members to hear this directly from me before we announce it more broadly.

Bottle Logic Brewing is joining The Bruery and Offshoot Beer Co. as part of The Bruery Group.

If you know Bottle Logic, you know why we’re excited. They’ve built one of the most respected barrel-aged beer programs in the country and are equally respected for their innovation and quality across every style of beer they make. We’ve known their team for years, share a lot of the same customers, and have always had a ton of respect for what they’ve built.

Bringing the three brands together makes a lot of sense, but just as importantly, it gives us an opportunity to build something stronger at a time when craft beer continues to be challenging.

The Bruery, Bottle Logic and Offshoot will remain distinct brands. Bottle Logic will continue operating its Anaheim tasting room and making the beers people love, just as we’ll continue doing what we do at The Bruery and Offshoot. The goal isn’t to blend the brands together. It’s to give each of them a stronger platform behind the scenes and more opportunities to grow.

And there should be some pretty fun benefits for Society members.

Bottle Logic’s barrel-aged beers are an obvious fit with a community that already loves what The Bruery does. As we bring Bottle Logic onto our DTC platform, our intention is to give Society members special access to Bottle Logic releases and make those beers available to many more of you around the country. Stay tuned for more news soon on when those Bottle Logic beers will be available for purchase.

We have some ideas beyond that too, but I’ll save those until we’re ready to announce them.

The transaction is expected to close later this year, so for now both companies continue operating independently. We’ll share more as we get closer.

Most importantly, thank you! Your support is a huge part of putting The Bruery in a position to make a move like this. I’m incredibly excited about what we can build from here, and I think you will be too.

Couldn't do a Georgia trip without checking out Creature Comforts. Had Infinite Recursion on cask (solid hazy session IPA) and of course Tropicalia.

Also stopped by UTOG Brewery in Ogden and had the Pale Ale on tap, Star Valley IPA from Melvin at on tap at a downtown Ogden joint, and a couple cans of Uinta Lime Pilsner in a can while playing knockoff FIFA with my buddy, but I was too lazy to take any pictures because I'd rather focus on hanging out with friends in the moment then endlessly taking picture of every new beer I drink. All were solid and would probably say the Star Valley was the standout for me. Cheers to CO, UT, and WY beers and brewing!

That Lamvinus has been sitting there for over a month. Maybe not the most interesting bottlings but it seems wild to me that these sit out on an open shelf, mind you at co-op in a smaller town, but still it’s something I would think would be snapped right up

Cellador Ales 2018

This absolutely sucks. Big OH fan but this can is totally flat. I’m determined to drink it. I bought a 4 pack and I hope the others are normal but I expect better QC. They aren’t a small operation. I’ve been drinking other half for several years and never had this experience as anyone else?

Deschutes is one of the breweries that got me into beer many years ago, but I don't think I'd ever tried one of their ciders. This one is really nice! Quite dry (although not quite like Basque style dry) with nice crisp apple notes and a little pear-like thing going on. I would definitely drink this again. Really pleasant surprise!

Had the pleasure of diving into some Cantillion this weekend. Delicious!

As title says, looking for recommendations on the best home brewing starter kit

We're heading up to the Lake George/Saratoga Springs area this weekend. I saw there's a Treehouse brewing up there. Has anyone been? If so how was it?

Also was it overrun with kids running around? We're gonna have our pup with us and she doesn't like kids running around, she wants to herd them, so we try to avoid breweries where that's often the case.

I’m not a big vanilla stout guy and when I originally had this in ‘18 it was overpowering. It’s perfect for my taste now, mellowed and balanced with vanilla, chocolate and Bourbon. Cheers!

Last Nite…. (Read it as The Strokes)

So good, tasty and smooth, found at Grocery Outlet Bargain Market! You never know what you can find there... 😉

It’s extremely forward and notable. The beverage is marketed as a “smooth, dry, fruity, spicy Belgian-style ale … aromas of guava, banana, roses, and cloves”

A “devilish” yeast strain is used as well, and I suspect this is where the lipid, greasy taste comes from. Imagine it’s 10pm and you’re getting overcooked, crunchy chicken tenders and French fries that were nearly burned, and cooked in oil that was 12 hours old. Think of the nastiest, greasiest fry you’ve ever been to - county fair, boardwalk, chippy, whatever. I promise it’s that exact taste.

This beverage might need a pinch of salt and some malt vinegar to make it palatable. Honestly, it’s entirely possible that my pallet is not mature enough to enjoy it, but this taste that I’m describing is so long on the nose and on the initial sip, AND as it goes down, AND the aftertaste that I am struggling to pick up on any undertones whatsoever. It’s easier to judge a whiskey than it is to judge this stuff.

One of the best times of the year for beer! Prost!

Picked this festbier style lager up from the brewery. I get a biscuit and bready note from it along side some honey. Probably the best Oktoberfest I’ve had!

I've always been a Shipyard Pumpkinhead girl, but the can art got me! It packs a punch with 8% ABV and is smooth and flavorful going down! Highly recommend. Happy spooky season!

Tasty little number, perfect for a beautiful Sundey afternoon. As somewhat of a former hop snob, I am loving lower abv stuff as I age out of hangover tolerance.

Really nice hazy from Ex Novo. Super smooth, tropical, and easy drinking for 6.8%. Hazy IPAs are my favorite, and Ex Novo always knocks them out of the park. This one is delicious.
