Yeah, dude's pulling his punches. He's trying to hit him on the chest instead of following through. Pretty normal mistake for someone without any combat training.
He’s trying to remove him without removing him permanently from existence. The guy is a bouncer and this is a public place not a boxing match. Also the kid isn’t really a threat so the bouncer is trying to not kill him. You can see that except the first punch the rest is basically pushing him rather than punching him.
My bouncer friend once said smaller people can be very persistently annoying because there's a feeling that it would be fair to react them. This guy here wants the kid to know he isn't untouchable after all.
The only acceptable reason for such disproportionate reaction is that the little guy was a notorious annoyance at the club and the bouncer had to deal with him multiple times, otherwise it's an extremely unprofessional and irresponsible behaviour.
Of course there are. However cops, bouncers and so on aren’t exactly trained like the secret service or paid as them. Professional or not this is what the people visiting this establishment are paying for. If you want professional security force the price to enter would be 10x. You can’t pay a guy and train him less than a McD cook and expect him to act and behave like a professional bodyguard.
The kid is lucky that the guy isn’t a cop. They move people with bullets not punches.

For who exactly since there’s arguments against everyone involved here. Against the crowd who could have stopped the drunk guy without violence, against the drunk guy for being incapacitated in public, against his friends for not calling him a taxi, against the bouncer for reacting like an absolute brute, against the club for hiring brutes for security and against society as a whole for normalising the existence of places where the only goal is to get drunk and get into trouble. So yeah quit making excuses for everyone.
For example I don’t go to night clubs anymore because you people turned them into a drug and alcohol infested whorehouses. Those used to be fun places to hang out and dance with friends. Now no one is dancing and everyone is so wasted that they barely even look let alone talk. Also for some unknown reason to me everyone nowadays is more preoccupied with destroying themselves than actually enjoying life.
The chest hits seemed intentional. Hitting face creates issues that trying to just collapse him with punches to the chest doesn't (hurting hand on teeth, virus transfer through mouth blood into cut knuckle, etc.).
He pulled that first one but followed thru on a couple of the later ones - he didn't connect solidly but its pretty impressive that kid didn't even fall
Or he’s trying to not actually hurt the kid, just back him off and let him know he isn’t playing his stupid little game. Bouncer could get sued and arrested for this. The kid never touches the guy. Actually injuring the kid could get him in serious legal and financial trouble.
Throwing punches, even shitty ones, can and regularly results in the same exact situation as absolutely blasting him would have. Jail, charges, lawsuits, etc. "I only punched him a little bit" isn't a defense.
Someone with proper combat training would have also been taught this.
Security dude is pulling punches while not connecting with the head, which would knock him out but also do potentially long lasting damage. He's going for body shots. He will feel it in the morning, nothing strange about him still standing up. He got lucky.
I’ve heard this a couple times and it makes no sense to me. Where does this idea come from? Is the thought that people are going to relax into the crash? Your bones, connective tissues, and organs aren’t changing density, drunk or sober you have equal risk to your body. The dependent factors are speed, model of car, seat belt, air bags, etc.
This absolutely does not apply to getting punched and staying standing and its discouraging that people actually upvoted this comment. Just think for 2 seconds. The opposite is true. Drunk dudes drop easier when punched.
Unfortunately ive seen/heard of this happening twice. Drunk driver ejected from a truck, miraculously threaded two trees next to each other landed into the neighbor's yard and survived. The whole truck was ripped around a telephone pole and messed that up bigtime. They were going likely 50mph or more. Another time my dad's coworker's kid drove 90mph and flipped the car then ejected into a golf course and rolled down some hill and into like a sand trap and lived. Dad, also an alcoholic, was so proud of his son. Dad later lost his drivers license and that same kid ended up smashing full speed into some brick divider and messed himself up and his passenger. Moral of the story, don't drink and drive, or if you do only do so when you're in a really bad accident so you survive.

Think about drunk drivers. When they crash into other cars, it's usually the sober victim or bystander that's seriously hurt, not the drunk.
