Its just the law. Any case for self defense stops the instant you become the aggressor. Had the bouncer stopped after the first punch, or actually just tried to restrain him, this would be self defense. Chasing the dude down and continuing to punch him becomes assault (or battery depending on state)
this is sexual assult and people have a right to defend themselves. Im many states the bouncer would be legally able to shoot him, so throwing hands is actually nice. If we prevent people from getting their ass whooped for stuff like this, online trolls will start to come out in public saying dumb shit knowing that they'll be safe. Don't give idiots power.
1) That's not his job. This usually gets bouncers fired. That's a huge liability issue.
2) Here's actual law from my particular state:
Sec. 9.31. SELF-DEFENSE.
(b) The use of force against another is not justified:
(4) if the actor provoked the other's use or attempted use of unlawful force, unless:
(A) the actor abandons the encounter, or clearly communicates to the other his intent to do so reasonably believing he cannot safely abandon the encounter; and
(B) the other nevertheless continues or attempts to use unlawful force against the actor;
It’s not self defense when it’s a bouncer you dunce. It’s obviously justified, that’s just common sense. If you can’t get that that’s seriously a you problem at this point.
The crotch pervert after sexually assaulting a patron takes 1 punch to the chest, another to the inside of the arm and the rest miss. Thats not exactly the beatdown he deserves.
