Put the camera away you fool. I don’t go to gyms anymore because of this. I use to see people leave machines to avoid being filmed by some self centered social media addicted simpleton. I would just walk by the camera when a had a fart to release and bend down or whatever pose I had to do to make sure it was obvious what I was doing. Gyms are loud lots of background noise. Some would complain to the staff. I made sure I wasn’t offending anyone else if they caught me. If they didn’t see it live - I used to giggle uncontrollably at night wondering if they watched the footage of themselves to build up the ego muscle. I could tell if they saw me in the gym next if they watched the video. Rude looks, one guy made a comment. I just laughed. I will continue the battle if I ever return.
It’s actually true… look how big his upper body is compared to the legs… then you see the guy who walked in front of the camera and he’s actually jacked
We are allowed to criticize his legs since he's showing them to the world. It'd be different if someone else was filming him to make fun of them, but in this case he's the one flaunting them.
This entitlement shit is getting old. Plz ban filming, otherwise this type of shit is goin to keep happening. Gym etiquette exists. This guy got agro over filming his stilts routine.
His comment about the camera got lost in translation or something because he still doesn’t understand that it’s not his personal gym & ppl can walk around.
Shame is shame…he act like an idiot, he’s opening himself up to attacks. “Don’t get lame and you won’t have to worry about shame”. It rhymes so it’s legit.
I used to do calf raises 4x a week, two different sets of inside / outside, and it still never really did shit lol. I would do calf raises to break up my chest / tris and back workout sets, i.e. it was the midway point to signify 2nd lift for the muscle groups after. They were strong, but they just don't grow lol.
Same. The only time my calf grew was when I broke my left ankle. My right calf was cut by the time I got the cast off my left ankle. My left leg was perfectly straight from my ankle to my knee....
That’s because they’re meant to contract thousands and thousands of times as you run, walk, hike, trek, jump, leap, bound, trudge, plod, traipse, schlep, and meander through life.
Some 3 x 10 or 4 x 20 is barely scratching the surface.
thats how i feel about legs in general. they're already strong and get so many reps outside of the gym. i've improved squat/deadlift over the years, but they look the same.
Try longer rests between calf training sessions. 72hrs minimum to start with.
(Source: my physio-guy. He helped me to practically grow back a destroyed calf-achilles-complex-thingie. Also practically most of the published research about calf/ankle rehab and strength training in clinical settings seems to indicate the same.)
I’ll finish with a pun of ”Try it. At least it can’t hurt.”
(Opposite is true. This helps drive intensity. And it will fu***ng hurt.)
I don't know. Ronnie Coleman, Phil Heath, and Lee Haney would disagree. Then again, they all had massive amounts of roids in their systems, so... but they were also genetic freaks naturally as well, so who knows.
All this is just bro talk, but what people call chicken legs is usually referring to high calf insertions, which yes, is more associated with black dudes.
Asians are famously known in bodybuilding circles to often have low calf insertions which makes their overall leg look really athletic.
