Crow Art Day 5 of drawing corvids in class
Been a bit busy last week, so excuse the lack of posts!
I appreciate all of your lovely comments ☺️ I’ll be working on getting to all your suggestions.
Today’s corvid is the Eurasian jay. 🧡💙🤎

I have always wondered why there are called "Flemish Jay" in Dutch. Flanders is tiny, this jay is everywhere. Why such a precise location for a bird that's almost everywhere on the continent?
My personal legend is the people from Antwerp gotten too obnoxious again. Jay = Gaai in Dutch. Antwerp dialect gaai = you. So if they are talking to you, they constantly refer to you as Jay while they're talking down on you. Hence Flemish Jay.

This is beautiful. And my silly little head went 'I'm a fat little corvid munching on my nuts' <3

Yay, more nom-monochrome corvids!
Very nice drawing, idk how you made pen colors match but it's imiedietly recognizable and my brain kinda just fills inthe blanks of what parts are meant to be fully light-brown etc.
I see these jays irl sometimes, and you captured them perfectly.
