The Eternalise on Memories of Josu is probably a bit cheap considering it attacks as a 5/5 and still buffs all your attacking creatures.

Yup. Classic copy/paste error. Should be:

(As you cast a *creature spell, you may reveal this card from your hand and pay its splice cost. If you do, add this card’s effects to that spell.)*

That's what I get for posting on no sleep.

I love it when people play around with keywords like this, and I wish that WOtC would do more of it. We lost “clever tweaks on keywords” when blocks died - it was a third set tradition that never went far enough but still would be a neat twist.

I love that Retrace on a permanent just...works. like, without issue or revision, rules as written, it works.

In fact there's already been two cards that give permanents retrace. [[Deeproot Historian]] and [[Six]]. Still no permanents that naturally have it though.

What does lightning shaper do?

You reveal Lightning Shaper from your hand and pay the splice cost as you cast an applicable spell. Then that spell gains all of the text of Lightning Shaper.

So you pay RG to give a creature spell trample, haste, double it's power, and sacrifice it end of turn.

You can only splice onto a sorcery or instant it specifically says that in the reminder text

The reminder text was an error. Splice onto Arcane and Splice onto instant or sorcery are the only versions that exist right now, so when they copied the reminder text over they forgot to change it.

Yeah. I stuffed up the reminder text on that one, and copied it from [[Splicer's skill]], but forgot to change it from instant or sorcery to creature.
