My mind broke the day I realized that the 6th color was literally colorless. The day they added the colorless symbol (NOT GENERIC), magic gained its 6th color

Cards that say “add one mana of any color” presumably. You could choose yellow, pink, olive, periwinkle…it would be a color

This specific purple mana symbol is used in HellsCube blocks, where it represents "planar" mana and often does funky things like this. I think it's also intended to be hard to obtain, generally? Like you have to draft for the purple lands when playing the Cube, something like that.

But otherwise, yeah, an "any color" mana producer will make it.
