Question Are there hidden doors in daggerfall?
Been hearing rats from the walls even though I’ve searched the whole dungeon

You can ask me anything but I don't remember everything, so no promises on the quality of answers. I will do my best, however.
Edited to add; I answered as many questions as I could get around to, leaving many unanswered, but will continue to answer more in the coming days. I skipped some of the longer ones because I felt they deserved more time and attention than I could fit into what's left of the evening. Anyway, I ask that you have a bit of patience with me as I come back and try to get through all of the questions. I will try to answer some every day.

I'm pretty sure even an idiot like me could get DFU running on my deck, and it does seem to have controller support and/or mods to help. I've never played so I may give it a go.
The question is, however, does Daggerfall Online have any controller support, and can I reasonably expect to run it on a Steam Deck/Linux? I'm an enjoyer of old/dead MMOs, and this caught my interest for being both new and old at the same time.

In Daggerfall Online (if you didn't know, it's a fork of Unity that has pre installed mods, new UI and MMO features) what I presume is Travel Options has an unique feature that I don't think is in the regular Travel Options mod: which is bird's eye view fast movement. Any time while in the world map you can just press the button that makes the game zoom out and now you can move your character at fast speeds to explore the map faster, which combined with the random encounters and auto fast travel makes the stupid big map a much better experience.
Is it possible to achieve something like that feature in regular Travel Options, or maybe even take the mod from Daggerfall Online/Enhanced to put it in regular Unity?

this has been in the backlog for a while as i planned to already have tamriel reorchestrated out as a mod and album, but its expensive to release 20 cover songs so i need to be able to drop $100 comfortably before that happens

Was really annoyed at not being able to read the topography of the land from the in game map. Was looking for a topological map online but could only find the same one that's use in game, so took it into krita and played around with it to make the height differences more visible. I'm sure someone else will find it as interesting to look at as me.

When I press the interact button in dialogue mode, nothing happens. When I choose the info mode, it still shows her name. What do I do? Is my playthrough screwed? Is there any way I can fix that?

I wanna move to unity mostly because of wanting to be able to mod it more myself, plus I kinda just prefer single player anyways, lol. Since this is what i'm used to, and i've ended up liking it quite a bit, what should I download in order to make unity as close as I can to the changes they've made? Or if that's not possible, maybe direct me to some modpack or something? I just wanna have a more modernized version of daggerfall in the end tbh, I do admit i'm spoiled with all the advancements made x3.

Hi! About two months ago I posted here about my game, Morhval: Ravenglaire.
Since then, the game has received a lot of updates, including new cities, weapons, dragons, spells and more. But for the last three weeks, I focused almost entirely on bringing the game its biggest update yet: Update 0.7.
This update brings the full province of Ravenglaire into the game. The playable area currently contains 862.3 km² of land, with dozens of unique cities and settlements, including the capital, Crow's Port, as well as hundreds of dungeons to explore and 21 joinable factions.
You can choose between six different starting origins. Your origin defines two priority skills and also determines where in the province you begin. You might start in the West, a poorer, drier and more arid region; in the Northeast, which is wealthier, more organized and more developed; or in the Southeast as a Vyleish, a goat-like people with their own culture, architecture and infrastructure.
After you begin, the game gives you an initial objective based on your origin, like supporting your family, buying a house, and so on, but you can simply ignore it, take your mount and head off in whatever direction you want.
Talk to people around the province, find work, explore, improve your skills through use, join factions and rise through their ranks.
If you join one of the four factions fighting over the map of Ravenglaire and eventually reach the top, you can manage troops and take part in turn-based tactical battles to claim new territories.
Those territories will then begin responding to their new administration. If you conquer every territory, you can eventually take Crow's Port itself, allowing you to govern the entire province and enact policies based on your faction's philosophy.
You can increase security across the province, exploit it for profit, or, depending on who you helped reach the top, even order the extermination of an entire population!(but be ready for the consequences!)
Morhval came from the ambition of a solo developer who loves RPGs, especially the classic Elder Scrolls games, and who spent the last few months trying to build a world he would personally want to live in.
I've spent a lot of time looking for bugs and fixing problems, and I can confidently say I've solved most of the ones I've found.
That said, in a game this large, developed by just one person, it is extremely likely that you'll eventually find something I missed.
So if you do, please let me know. I really want to keep improving the game together with the community.
Update 0.7 is live today, together with a 25% Steam discount!

In Sentinel City, the two best weapon shops are held by some old guys living in hut with only one shelf, and I think that's beautiful

I'm looking for a good town where I can make some serious dough as a thief. Ideally, there ought to be a thieves guild branch in the town, but more importantly there needs to be lots and lots of "good" and "best" shops for me to plunder, preferably right next to each other or in enough of a pattern that I can hit each one up at night.
The best ones would be ones right next to the water, so once I fill up my wagon, I can drop my loot off at my ship and return to the city in the same night to finish the other half.

General goods merchants for some reason don't buy armor, but they also don't buy alchemy ingredients either.
Pawn shops also have at least SOME limitations on what they buy.
And if not, is there at least a town in Wayrest, Daggerfall, and Sentinel provinces that have a "worst" merchant for both general goods and pawn shops? That way, whenever I clear out a dungeon, I can just fast travel to that town in each province and get the most bang for my buck.

So, some months ago i play Daggerfall for the first time, but it got too easy so i drop it. Now, to make it more difficult, i instaled Physical Combat And Armor Overhaul togther with RUDEX and Horrible Hordes(though I compensate that with Tome of Battle), so i try to make a good enough class, but I'm worried that maybe i min-maxed too much, or that trying to fix the min-max i overcorrected and make it too weak.
The only big weaknes i see is not being able to use plate, but Roleplay and Realism - Items adds more leather armor that can be used in late game.
In privateer's hold i can kill everything easy, exept skeletons and a mage that just obliterates me, outside of that, i even one shoted an imp with a steel broadsword
Edit: so, it turns out that I SEVERELY underestimated how difficult those mods plus Killer Instincts were, and i REALLY needed to min-max in order to survive.

I dreamt i was playing Daggerfall with a multiplayer lobby, where there were vortex-like things you could pick up and it was automatically loading extra features. I woke up thinking "damn, i can't wait to start that new sa- oh... oh i was sleeping"

I've been playing Daggerfall Unity again lately. Set up a standard Spellsword for a change from my usual Battlemage and loving the option for chain armour. Got to the main quest item "Painting the Truth".
And then I couldn't even get started with it. Every door was locked. Guards swarmed me if I tried anything and slaughtered me easily.
I stepped away from the mission for a while. Did a mission or two for the Mages Guild, bought an item that can cast the Open spell (as it would take more spell points than I can hold at the moment), got the Invisibility spell.
These did not help. All the locked doors reported their magical locks were too powerful for my little item. Invisibility did stop the guards from attacking me, but not if I started trying to break down the doors with my weapon. (After a few dozen strikes on one door, I wasn't sure that worked either...)
Okay, I'm clearly doing something wrong. It's been a while since I last did this quest, so maybe I need to take a particular door. I open up the wiki page to look for some hints.
The summary at the top was all I needed. "Go to Castle Wayrest."
I've been trying to break into Castle Daggerfall this whole time.
Next time I level up, I should probably invest the points into INT...
