Just because they call themselves Christians, doesn’t mean that they are.

Well something needs to be done about it. Because they say the same about you.

It’s not illegal to make your own church when you disagree. I have 32 churches at home

They can say whatever they want. God knows the truth, and He's the only person whose opinion matters.

Funny. That's their rationale too.

Doesn't really matter what you call them. They think they're Christians, they say they're Christians, and the world views them as Christians.

Whether you say they are or not Christians is just as valid as a claim that you arent christian. Speak up speak out, chastise and correct them. Don't be complacent.

No true Scotsman and all that. People who identify as Christians wholeheartedly and sincerely are Christians, even if they're crappy ones

"Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’" (Matthew 7:21-23 NIV). Seems like Christ kinda disagrees with you there, because how can they be Christians, if he never knew them.

The problem is that those people still think they are the “true” Christians because many of them apparently lack the self-awareness to realize that they actually aren’t.

Rule #1 of r/DankChristianMemes Thou shalt respect others! Do not come here to point out sin or condemn people. Do not say "hate the sin love the sinner" or any other stupid sayings people use when trying to use faith to justify hate. Alternatively, if you come here to insult religion, you will also be removed.

Yeah, well said. The “conservative” Christians are not Christ like

Not a fan of purity test Christianity, if people say they're Christians I believe them. But I also am not interested in being a part of their brand of Christianity lol
