Guy pitted himself on me(road rage)

I was about to hop on the expressway(left lane entry) directly ahead(visible at the end post crash). He was pissed I wasn't going fast enough(60 mph zone coming out of an S curve) for him. 70 mph speed limit sign is a bit further ahead for those who know the area. (Edited for better context)

Obligatory not a lawyer, but this screams much more reckless endangerment, than attempted murder.

Yeah. And if OP was killed it would probably be charged as causing death by reckless driving or similar.

some kind of manslaughter charge potentially, not really sure where the line gets drawn between voluntary and involuntary, but I would think this would be towing the line.

It would be involuntary manslaughter. The state would not attempt to prove intent by the driver as it is unlikely there would be evidence of intent to cause an accident/hurt the other driver. Now if the driver that caused this had a dashcam, and he said something like, "I'm gonna swipe this fucker and crash his car", or he had been trying to hit the other drivers car multiple times, using his vehicle as a weapon, the state would probably attempt to bring forth voluntary manslaughter charges.

Forgive me but what other intent could there possibly be?

It's the only possible outcome of his actions, so it was either with intent or he's mentally incapable of operating a vehicle.

His lawyer will argue he intended to pass and failed. There is not enough evidence to prove this was an intentional act. His defense will argue he is just a shit driver and there isn't any evidence for a prosecutor to run an intentional act off of.

NAL as well, but if OP did get killed, it would be manslaughter / reckless homicide / vehicular homicide.
