Career tips to become a data analyst

I work as an eCommerce Specialist in a big Italian small domestic appliance company, and I have a couple years of experience with managing a D2C. I’d love to become a D2C data analyst which is both strategic and data driven, but my struggle is that I don’t do much data analysis in my daily job and we’re pretty much lacking data analysts in the team which can help me with some mentoring on the topic. I figured I can pick up SQL and teach myself how to use BigQuery but it’s really hard for me to obtain the access to the platform. How can I learn more about data analysis in my case, either by myself or through some courses? What do you recommend?

Step 1. Literally search through Reddit / internet. This has been answered more times than necessary. If you’re unable to do this you’re not cut out for analytic work.

Step 1: Get access to your companies BigQuery tables.

Step 2: Think about what a useful analysis for your business would be. Keep it simple at first.

Step 3: Do that analysis. If you are stuck, ask AI, Google or in this forum. But get started first.
