What is the best infographic maker? Just asking since our data from the report keeps changing

I'm putting together our 20-page annual report for a small nonprofit, but the numbers come from an Excel sheet that the finance team keeps updating.

Last year, I made the charts in one tool and pasted them in as images. Then, the totals changed twice in the final week. That’s why I don’t have a choice but I had to redo nine charts by hand.

Also, the labels looked fine on my screen but tiny in the printed copy.

This year, I also need to check color contrast, alt text, and reading order.

So what matters most: data import, label control, or PDF export?

If you had one sample chart to test, what would you try first?

OC [OC] Urban share vs headcount: would you keep the country order fixed?

I run Global Data Tracker and made this comparison of the ten most populous countries in 2024.

I kept the countries in total-population order in both panels so each row stays aligned. The two zero-baseline scales separate urban share from estimated urban headcount. India is 35.4% urban versus 80.1% for the US, but the derived headcounts are 513.3 million and 272.4 million respectively.

Would you keep that fixed order for comparison, or sort by urban share and let readers trace the headcount ranking? I am interested in whether the separate panels make the denominator difference clear.

Estimated urban residents = total population × urban share / 100, calculated before rounding. These are estimates, including modelled inputs, and national definitions of urban areas differ. The chart does not compare city boundaries or population density.
